Joe Gallagher Diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer

Just seen he is in Saudi working with his fighter Mohammed Alakel. Seems to be very stoic about it all, fair play.

 

Dam. Thoughts and prayers with him and his family. The man is a legend tbh, he has done a ton for the sport.

 

It's a shame something like this happening, is what it took to get positive comments about Gallagher from boxing fans. There's been a horrible bandwagon of childish, trolling comments about Gallagher for too long, and minimizing his achievements.

He's been a very good trainer for many years, so passionate about the sport, and always has seemed like a good human being to me.

 

He powered through a Buncey interview on 5Live earlier, but eventually cracked in tears. He ain't stopping still!

 

Massive respect for how he's approaching this. Wish Joe and all close to him the best.

 

had plenty of fun joking about him (his tactics and training style, not any of the other stuff) but he deserves plenty of credit for taking a ton of young lads from Manchester and Liverpool, who usually don’t have a lot of obvious natural talent, and drilling them into British, European, and World champions

 

Sad to hear this news and wish Joe Gallagher all the best in his fight with this horrible disease.

Totally agree with this. Excellent trainer and even better guy.

I always assumed stage 4 was incurable. Great news that he's free of it though.
