Anyone able to break down his last run fight by fight.

 

Irrespective of what it is joe has done brilliant with top fighters domestically or otherwise, how he gets slated for his coaching abilities is beyond me,

 

TBF im not his biggest fan but thats more to do with his limelight stealing, i cant deny he did a good job last week with paul smith

 

He does a good job with his guys, but this 'record' he built as as padded as those of his fighters. You can count the amount of world class fighters his boys have come up against on one hand. And more often than not they lose!

 

Think that's a bit unfair on Joe.

A lot of the lads he has in his camp are currently being brought through and the ones that he has took into world title fights, have often been very unlucky.

- Stephen Smith is being brought through and is fringe world level, looking to line up a title shot.
- Scott Quigg.. I'm not a fan of this regular, silver, gold, red, blue, navy with little yellow dots championship belts but whether you want to count Quigg as a world champion or not his a matter of opinion.. as far as Joe's concerned he's took Quigg up to world level, he's so far delivered and he's one of the best fighters at the weight.
- Liam Smith has done all that's been asked of him and has now won the British title outright.
- Callum Smith is improving at a ridiculous rate, will no doubt be challenging for a world title in the next 18 months.
- Anthony Crolla is another one looking to get himself into position to challenge for world honours, a fighter who has improved HEAPS AND BOUNDS in the last 2 years.
- Scott Cardle looked better than ever last time out, unbeaten and is looking for a British title shot.

Paul Smith has just done better than most expected against Abraham, could very easily have come away as a world champion on the night (close fight, wouldnt have argued with 2 rounds either way to either fighter) but the judges score cards were a disgrace.

Macklin was extremely unlucky when challenging for a world title against Sturm (Germany once again..) I felt he'd done enough to win.
