Since there seems to be such a split here between those who give the old timers any credit and those who felt pre -1930 fighters belonged in tough man contests I'm throwing this out .. How would Old Bones do against the far more modern Boom Boom ?

After a couple of close rounds, Gans proceeds to give Mancini a boxing lesson that ends in the eleventh round.

Mancini was tough. Mancini was game. Mancini was not a great fighter. He had a tremendous work ethic and great stamina, but he was work rate dangerous - not puncher dangerous.

Gans was just too slick and too strong for Mancini.
