What rut was Parker in exactly?
He'd been on a winning run

And Dubois was not green at euro level which is what fight was fought at

    Hi Buddy.
Agree entirely, why is it the boxers always seem the last to know, fame, money, maybe it's in their blood, as Liston once said when he heard Patterson had signed for a rematch, against all sane advice " who can tell a bird it can't fly " nuff said.

He is at the end of his career and he needs to think about making a dignified exit from the sport; it would be a massive shame for him to go out on a series of losses. Someone like Yoka in the UK would be ideal, or maybe a fight with Whyte which I could still see him winning at his age.

Yeah bang on my friend. Being inolved in the game I think one of the major factors is what do you do without it and it's really hard for them to let go, its usually been their entire identity for 20 years or so and what they do

The phrase is something along the lines of first to know but last to accept it.

I think there are some hard-to-ignore facts about Joyce at this stage, to be honest.
    1. He needs to make money so needs a fight that will sell. A British name.
    2. It needs to be someone either beatable or a credible comeback, ie. not Kash frigging Ali.

There aren't many fights like that unless Frank Bruno comes back. Whyte is the obvious choice and if he wins, someone like Wardley might work as he's built a following this past year. The problem for Joyce is, he's one lucky left hook from being asleep and Whyte probably still has that up the sleeve.

It's a shame Joyce's career peaked about a year before the Saudi phenomenon or he could have had a couple of decent fights, in the "take every punch and keep coming" days, and retired gracefully.

How? He took heavy shots from Chisora and was only put down when he was off balance. He even got up from the Zhang knockout at the count of nine or ten, and Zhang hits a lot harder than Whyte.

Our Joe will be looking for a one time Saudi cash out

Can see him fighting Joshua on the undercard of Fury Uysk 3 if we have a Fury win next week.

Joyce is an interesting voluntary defence for Dubois if he beats Parker next. Really hinges on Joyce beating a Yoka or Whyte type to justify a shot though. Personally think Dubois irons him out now but it would sell out a big arena, possibly a football ground or simply on a Saudi show.

He should fight Whyte. Both past it.

I think Joyce is probably looking to squeeze a Saudi payday out of his career. He could've been on a few shows if he wasn't matched with Zhang. That was horrible matchmaking.

I said "lucky". Whyte has that one hook him him from time to time that an older, less-resistant, even-easier-to-hit Joyce would suffer from.

I'm not convinced. He looked dreadful against that bloke that fought Joshua in the following fight. Franklin, I think. He hit him plenty of times and couldn't budge him. That was years ago.

Joe's chin has gone. He was marketed to be this unstoppable animal, a juggetnaut (which Joe and many others stupidly believed despite not fighting any big bangers) and when he was paired with a heavyweight that could actually punch like a heavyweight he was making love to the canvas. If Whyte hits Joe then Joe will go. That left is a game changer for Whyte.

    Fan of the Juggernaut here.

Best fight for him seems Dillian White.

Wilder would be great as well.

Ajagba is a great option for ranking improvement.

Luis Ortiz, Sanchez, Wallin, Pulev, all of them make sense.

Baby Miller, Huni, Anderson, Big Mahk, Vianello, J. Franklin are options.

Nelson Hysa is Wbo ranked and can be a rebounding option.

Most likely it will be Okolie or Adeley from Queensberry stable.
