If Fury comes out aggressively he gets clipped earlier if he runs he gets clipped later. AJ is not Beyoncé Wilder. Fury should have fought in November or December 2020 whereas AJ got in 9 valuable rounds against Pulev

If AJ sits off Fury he will lose a clear UD, like Wlad did. I point to the last round of Wlad vs Fury as to what AJ would need to do to win. I recently watched the last round only of that fight and yes Wlad did wobble him with a left hook and Fury was hurt but he managed to ride out the round. If Wlad had started like that Fury would have been stopped no doubt about it in my mind.

If AJ starts aggressively and pushes to engage Fury it is more than 50/50 in my mind as the advantage would clearly be with Joshua. Love him or hate him there is no more dangerous mid-range fighter, at least in the heavyweights. Joshua has stopped Johnson and Povetkin, 2 solid chinned fighters that have taken almost every other opponent the distance. Joshua can seriously put the hurt on Fury if Fury lets him. Which is why Fury would be insane to fight 'Kronk style' against him.

Any style Fury adopts he is going to get clocked by AJ.

With such a tactic AJ will be gassed out pretty Quick.

If dude gasses with Pulev after 3 rd round then I can't imagine vs Usyk, not alone vs Dorticos or Briedis this hero A.J.
Dorticos does beat far more hard than Pulev and is more mobile " puny CW in forums ".

Terrific analysis Markus. Totally get what you're saying. It's also got me thinking that Joshua, pre Ruiz anyhow, was never afraid to get into a fight, amateur or pro.
    I may need to re-evaluate.

Nobody has ever been able to impose their physicality on AJ. Bit of a bully mentality. Where as Fury with his lack of raw power has always used his rangey boxing and can rely on his size, stamina & toughness in dog fights to come out of top.

Only exception with AJ was him treating Ruiz like a nuclear bomb if he got anywhere near to close range with him

With Fury AJ won't be able to escape. McCracken will pull him out. Fury TKO late fight.

Your avatar suggests you have an agenda my friend. I wouldn't accept that Joshua is a bully. Dillian Whyte has a bit of that in him but against Whyte and Klitschko, AJ gritted his teeth and banged back. Even in the first Ruiz fight, he kept getting up until he was so badly concussed he didn't understand what was going on.
I've watched both guys since the latter stages of their amateur careers and I really can't remember Fury being in a dog fight. That's not a criticism, it's the sensible thing to do. Why get into a punch up and give the other guy a chance when you are the more talented Fighter ? Fury will move or grab.
Markus makes me think that AJ can be effective if he can stay in mid range and, if he can do that, he has a chance but my instinct is that Tyson will use his Boxing IQ and the sixth sense I always say he has to stifle and negate Joshua.
Credit to you Miniq, you're not one of the hysterical fan boys who pepper this site. With any luck, I'll be wrong and you and Markus will be right.

if you want Fury to beat Joshua pray he reverts back to his Ben Davison style. Im not so sure trying to fight Joshua head on is smart. Fury doesn't posses the compact body and speedy combinations of Ruiz

Yeah I've always said like everyone else Fury's best chance to beat is to Jab and Move and clinch. Same thing he did with Klitschko but for that to be effective he should loose over 20 pounds so he can be light on his feet. Even then im giving Joshua a far better chance than Klitschko.

He might come into this fight at over 260 pounds and he might merge his Kronk gym training with his Ben Davison training. I feel like that isn't the best plan. He says he's going to be aggressive against Joshua. Who knows maybe he might actually attempt it. Joshua was put on his backfoot by a fat munchkin. Maybe Fury thinks thats Joshuas weakness and he might try and attack Aj head on. Thats why im not so confident Fury will win this

Both styles have their pros and cons against AJ.

Against Wilder I thought Fury could have plenty of success if he came forward.

Against AJ its completely different, and I can see the strategy of either tactic having its valid pros and cons.

The thing with Fury is hes capable of doing either.

He can start out aggressive and if its obvious its not working he can switch to boxing.

He can fight him on his bike like he did Wlad and get a decision, as long as Kinahan has a couple of horse heads ready.

That is my ultimate prediction. I see the first minute of round one with both being cagey and as the seconds go by Fury will start to come forward, get caught with a combination to the body and head, then he'll realize he cant play that game and he'll revert back to boxing and when that happens i see Aj coming foward and pressing the action. And after that its 50/50
