Thanks for posting. I hadn't seen this before. I wouldn't class it as a 'robbery' b/c I can understand how someone might score it for Yoka. I thought Yoka's semi-final win in this tournament against Hrgovic was a robbery b/c he was outclassed for the full 3 minutes of every round. Hrgovic landed consistently to the head & body & forced Yoka backwards throughout. A feature of that fight that is also present in this one is that Yoka doesn't throw to the body. At all. I thought he was on par with Joyce for head shots so perhaps that's how he finished in front. They just didn't bother scoring body shots. Very good tournament for Joe Joyce. I've previously seen his win against Jalolov in the quarter final & that was a great win. I noticed in the footage here that he also beat Ivan Dychko. Wins over Jalolov, Dychko & a debateable loss against Tony Yoka is a good haul. It was a while ago now but that kind of experience is why you can't count Joyce out of any fight he's in.
No idea why Yoka got so many passes in that tournament. He really had no right to become the Olympic Gold Medallist. At least his pro career derailment has delivered some karma to his robbed opponents while Joyce continues to go from strength to strength.
