Joyce is a terrible boxer, no head or foot movement. He depends solely on size. And he lacks that 1-punch KO power, unlike Klitschko. He looked terrible against Jennings.

Dubois is undisputably the better boxer and hits harder.

Dubois by KO in round 7 at latest.

I don't know what you're watching but Joyce has far better head and upper body movement than Dubois, he also moves far better. Watch his fight with Jennings, Dubois has never shown that kind of movement.

Dubois has better text book fundamentals but he doesn't move his head at all and his movement is very limited as he's setting his feet all the time to get maximum leverage in his power shots.

Don't mistake text book fundamentals for boxing skills, Joshua has better fundamentals than Fury so did Wlad but Fury out boxed Wlad and would out box Joshua, despite their better fundamentals.

I'm predicting a Dubois victory solely on gut instinct. Could truly go either way Joyce being 35 feels like he missed the boat on his pro career but if he wins this bout it could be the push he needs to put him into a contender spot. I just feel like the younger stronger Dubois will be too much and is going to stop the more experienced Joyce in the mid rounds. Should be a good fight either way.

My logic is if Kevin Johnson didn't go over then Joyce probably won't either. My next logic is if Lartey rocked Dubois then Joyce can do more damage. If it's a close fight I doubt Joyce wins a decision though. He should keep that in mind if he has Dubois in trouble and put him away.

I remember Kingpin came in really muscle bound in that fight. 256 I believe, against Joshua he was like 245 ,and the bodybuilder was 250. Dubois was like 239, and it was obvious from the combos on the ropes he didn't seem to effect Johnson. I think that sometimes a few factors lead to different results when it comes to fighters fight weights and different strategies. Dubois is starting to approach the mid 240s now, so I tend to think he's growing into his frame. And he's nearer to his optimum weight.

Frankenstein has faster hands and feet. Joyce is tough but far too slow. I see this being one sided

I dunno about that weight theory, Johnson was a similar weight when Milas KO'ed him earlier that same year and was 256lbs also a year later when Bakole stopped him.

I think Dubois was just far too predictable in his punch selection and that allowed Johnson to brace for a lot of the shots that landed cleanly. Compare that to Joshua who first hurt Johnson with a counter right hand lead over Johnson's jab and first dropped him with an unsual combo that started off with a straight right to the body followed by a left hook, right hand, double left hook, right hand. Dubois in comparison never throws a right hand lead, doesn't counter punch and starts off 95% of his attacks with a jab, only time he mixes it up is when he leads with the occasional left hook. So it was pretty easy for Johnson to shell up after Dubois threw a jab.

Dubois probably hits as hard as Joshua, Milas and Bakole, I'm not knocking his clear power but against Johnson his predictable punch selection made it easy for a defensive fighter like Johnson to get into a defensive posture before Dubois unloads as it's pretty obvious when Dubois intends to attack as almost every attack starts with a jab.

Joyce is no Kevin Johnson defensively though but if Joyce can also see Dubois intent to attack and choose not to trade he's going to make it difficult for Dubois to get his offense going.

Dubois unloaded a whole load of artillery on Johnson. The same Johnson was put away by fringe prospect Peter Milas in 8 six months earlier which suggests Dubois isn't quite the beast Warren is billing him as. I know styles make em but I don't think Joyce has a huge amount to fear, especially if he can get Dubois on the back foot and dominate him.

We will see tonight. But I'm quite convinced from Dubois more recent 6 performances, including his destruction of Gorman and Cojanu, that his performances have improved. Joyce laboured decision against Jennings, sets of more alarm bells to me because he was hurt by a non puncher, and he's pretty much a seasoned fighter.

Jennings is distinctly better pedigree boxer than Conjanu and Gorman. I know he was caught very late by Rivas pre Joyce but he was winning that fight on two judges cards. Joyce won by a clear UD on Jennings. By 9 rounds on one card. He got buzzed by a body shot from Jennings briefly. Maybe that is where Dubois could win going downstairs as I've no doubt Joyce's chin is superior.

Bookies odds these days are determined by the exchanges. It is then just a matter of how much less they offer than the exchange.

I think Dubois finds Joyce slow and easy to hit. Maybe a somewhat early stoppage in round 4 after some good but not devastating punches landed by Dubois with Joyce still on his feet. Of course Joyce could end up beating him down later on but I think the referee steps in before that can happen.
