Put some respect on Joe Joyce name, he boxed well , used his jab, did not over commit. He did not rush the knockout he let it come.

He's a Gold Medalist actually. He was robbed blindly in Rio.

He boxed perfectly within his abilities. He boxed to his strengths. He needs the big fights now. It would be interesting to see him fight Whyte or Chisora.

    Should be GOLD.:deal:

Like I've said for years, Joyce is a sleeping giant at Heavyweight and has been consistently one of the most underrated.

I don't know. He looked quite basic. He knew he was landing his jab at will but was basically relying on his chin to take anything Dubois threw at him (and he landed some big ones). To his credit, his chin was good and he stuck to a strategy.

Brilliant boxing display from Joyce. Consistently out-jabbed & out-worked Dubois from the outside.

I wouldn't give up on Dubois after that display either. Ten rounds against the bloke who made the Olympic final will do him a world of good.

Joyce exceeded all expectations he boxed smart, Dubois is a great guy and this is still not his end considering his youth, who do you think will be their next opponent?

Yep, he showed up and boxed instead of doing his usual style of walking people down. Joyce hasn't got a pretty style and people see that as him being a poor boxer, but Tyson Fury has an ugly style too but boxes circles around everyone.

Joyce's jab was always the more versatile, Dubois has a ram rod jab but he only uses it one way to set up the right hand while Joyce jabs to head a body, uses it to set up the right, to control distance, to upset his opponents rhythm, it's a multi-purpose tool, while all Dubois has in a jab is a hammer.

Joyce showed he has far better head movement than he gets given credit for. Fact is many of the hard shots Dubois landed, Joyce rolled with the shot and took away a lot of the power in Dubois' punches.

Joyce's movement is very underrated, I've been saying this for a while, he's well balanced and he moves laterally, while Dubois has quicker feet but he just bounces on the spot and moves in straight lines.

I think Joyce can beat Whyte/ Chisora. Usyk will be too mobile for him, Fury, Wilder and AJ likely put a beating on him but it's now or never for Joyce, he's got to take the biggest fights he can get.

Dubois can take his time and build up again. He needs to take on a few decent fighters and win before challenging anyone near the top 10.

He did roll most of the shots, but he also showed a great chin. Took a few shots flush that have wiped out some others, and was unfazed. Bosed smart.

Joyce boxed very well, its an awkard kind of brilliance but he rode pretty much everything dubois threw and he resisted the urge to open himself up and just stuck to the jab.

Dubois did very well, lets face it hes only 23 and he was in there with vastly experienced and world level guy. Scorecards were pretty much level and had it not been for the eye who knows he maybe could have nicked it.

He can come back, no panic for dubois.

As for him quitting, i think he just panicked and didnt know what to do, he couldnt see, he couldnt hurt Joe and was completely out of his comfort zone. His young age and lack of experience showed.
