That's it. That's the take Nobody is going to touch Joyce or even Wilder in till them belts are stripped/vacated off both Fury & Usyk and handed out to the highest bidder which will allow Joyce a chance to fight for them. The only way out of this GRIM situation is Fury Usyk getting made at a later date. There is a VERY high likelihood of Usyk getting stripped over the course of this year also or vacating a belt. The fact is this is this is a business of greed and money. Not sport and boxing. Plastic belts mean nothing & Fury's lineal status is also now worth nothing unless he defends against a worthy contender which he hasn't in 18 months unless you count Whyte. I hear murmurs of Fury Joyce or Usyk & Wilder but that's a fools dream. Just like the current global financial situation. The years of excess, gluttony & greed have peaked and we're about to see the ending BANG unless the Saudi's come to save us
joyce marvelous boxer hes better than fury now fury wouldnt hack him for 12 round he would batter everyone bar wilder usyk fury tho easy he is leagues above the rest
Usyk Joyce Wilder/Aj Ruiz Those are the top guys now. Fury is a coward and doesn't belong in the rankings
If Usyk was such a big man then he should face the next best thing. Joyce or Wilder but will he? no for all the reasons I stated above. This isn't a sport.
If Wilder & Joshua are ranked at about 3 it shows what a poor division it is. Combined they’ve lost 5 of their last 8 fights. Wilder was destroyed by Fury, mentally & physically. Joshua is a shell.
In February 1975 the Ring's #3 HW in the world, Jimmy Young, had a record of 14-4-2. The #2 HW, Ken Norton, had lost two of his last three. Losses aren't all that important for runner-ups if those losses are coming to the best.
What was the HW scene like back then ? I assume they fought far more often, didn't duck anyone & politically it was simple to arrange fights. Inactivity is killing the sport, especially the HW division.
Nowadays losing three of four means you've won one fight in four years. you can go from prime to totally shot in that time.
Worry about the Duck King instead, mate. Usyk will face whoever he needs to face. He is a different breed, a true warrior so don't apply a Fury fanatic logic when trying to understand him and his quest for legacy.
If usyk is after legacy then the opponents he "needs" to face are those i stated and you very know well he wont face them...and because of the state of the sport even if he did he'd get stripped of a belt. If Usyk fought and beat Wilder it leaves Fury with a worthless plastic green belt dangling off his pinkie because as everyone should know belts mean nothing.
Usyk has 3 belts which means who he fights is more than likely isn't going to be up to him. It's either fight his mandatories or unify. None of those options involve Wilder right now. Wilder needs to do more than beat Helenius to get back into title contention in my opinion.
Fury is the biggest duck in history of boxing. Mayweather was’t this bad. Your boy is a certified duck.
Excellent counter, short and sufficient. Many like to trash the current boxing scene - especially the HWs. Even though 2000s era / current HWs would trounce the smaller "golden" era HWs. Yes, fights were easier to make back then. We're in a new, worse era when it comes to making big fights happen. They're still made, but some compelling bouts are like pulling teeth or just don't get made. See AJ-Wilder, Fury-Usyk, etc.
