Looking back on the fight its clear to see his defense was really bad in every way. Its like he didn't know he could use his gloves to create a guard for his face as he moved forward.

During one of the rounds his trainer pleaded with him to keep his hands up. Using the the high guard and knowing how to catch a jab could have been worked on before the fight instead of during it.

But these are skills Dubois can learn going forward. He has plenty of time ahead of him to develop a better defense.
