    Abel Sanchez?

Can't see that being a good move.

Joyce already operates like a HW Gassiev...
A thudding brawler type, but as Usyk showed in the amateurs, limited movement.

Could you imagine if the 4th/5th (Maybe even 6th) best HW from the UK beats Wilder?

i dont rate haymon as a heavyweight promoter

he did not and has not backed wilder on his way up

wilder the only meddalist at the 2008 olympics in the usa teram and he was fighting in school halls in front of one man and his dog crowds /with no tv

when it was the first tinme haymon had to dig into his pockets and finance wilder properly v povetlin /haymon was easily outbid not wanting to put up the money to back wilder and his charge had to go to russia to fight in the proverbial lions den

the fight never took place but that was nothing to do with haymon.

wilder has done his own self promotion and presentation / IMO it was wilder that made the ortiz fight and not haymon.

haymon pays peanuts to wilder opponents and it is the reason that wilder on his way to the heavyweght title and since he won it has fought mediocre low key fighters as haymon pays them £100k and bed and board.

and this with an american heavy let alone joyce a no name uk heavy

Unless Joyce is being guaranteed a shot at Wilder, all this makes no sense.

Wilder hasn't evolved into a draw.....3 HW's in the UK are more popular than he is.

Miller isn't establishing a name for himself.....

And guys like Kownacki (Sp?), are not paying what Chisora/Hughie Fury etc would.

    An extremely odd move.

    Financially and legacy wise.

Joyce must want to fight once, maybe twice a year.

Shows how bad Haye must be to go to Haymon.

At 32 years old Joyce needs to get a move on & Haye doesn’t have the cash or connections to get him into mandatory positions against the elite and belt holders.

i would be very surprised if he based himself in the usa and fought there
financially as you say it makes no sense
legacy wise IMO joyce will be uk/euro level max / IMO he falls short of world top 10

given that he should aim for a lonsdale belt./european belt and if he fights domestic he will earn way more than he will in the states.

only ppv brings money over in usa and joyce will never IMO be on a usa PPV BILL/ time and abilty are not on his side.

He should fight Washington who is known , has a world title challenge on his record but isn't very good. Joyce would win this fairly comfortably imho.

Good move, its not like Haymon has issues working with Hearn, so all the UK fights shouldn't be ruled out. Joyce has a good head on his shoulders, and he's making all the right moves as of late, which is good since he doesn't have much time to waste due to his age. He's a quick learner, you can already see huge improvement in him as a pro from the handul of fights he's had so far, thus far his resume at 5 fights in surpasses AJ's at that point, its flat out better than Dave Allen's overall, and leaps and bounds better than Dubious.

His resume as a pro has to be better after 5 fights.....

He had a long amateur career rather than 20-30 pro learning fights.

To put it into perspective, by Joyce's current age, Mayweather had already beaten De La Hoya, Hatton and Marquez.

Hope he does well.....But Haymon hasn't had much financial success with HW's recently.

Looks like this is how Hamon is hoping to break into that big lucrative UK market.

He knows Wilder will never make it into the big time because he is a complete cretin so he has decided to get a new boy to make money off..

Watch Wilder go down to a glancing head shot from Joyce then the huge all UK affair for the undisputed title.

Eddie will rue the day he tried to muscle into the US market..
