I think we need to get the Joshua - Usyk out of the way as soon as possible. I think a lot a decisions hang on the outcome of that fight.
Pretty boring journeyman who'll just try and survive and get to the cards, hardly going to put bums on seats or advance Joyce much. Fwank strikes again!
I’ll give Frank Warren the benefit of the doubt here as he had looked to have made Joyce v Parker but it’s obvious that all his energy is primarily pinned on Dubois. However, Hammer does absolutely nothing in developing Joyce or preparing him for a title shot. The obvious call here is for Frank to make Joyce v Dubois 2 for the WBA regular but Joyce is one name DDD never mentioned after his win.
1) BT were playing Joyce ads at every opportunity during the Champions League final 2) A PPV fight against a Parker was set for July 2nd, but Joseph ducked out and ran to Sky. 3) Joyce has a date for September and better opponents are apparently being spoken to now 4) Joyce has had to pull out of 2 fight dates since Takam with injuries 5) Joyce recently re-signed with Warren, in his own words Frank is paying him big money
1) The ads are wasted if he then doesn’t fight orbits against Hammer. 2) Frank continuously tried to tie Parker to a long term deal for less money he was making on DAZN and les than Sky were paying him. Hardly ducking if Frank can’t get the fight over the line. Parker literally turned up to the Fury fight in the hope it would be signed and announced. 3. Better opponents will likely be the same tripe. however I think Bakole, Wallin or Helenius are acceptable. My guess is we see Kuzmin. If we see anyone around the Wach or Dauhappas level then it’s not good enough. 5) I’m sure Frank is paying him big money but he’s hardly going to sell any PPVs against Usyk etc Sam Jones was a big loss to Joyce as he needs a mouthpiece badly.
It'll bomb even worse on PPV than the Whyte fight did. Good fight and keeps Fury active, but I don't think Joyce has much chance. He's been overrated after beating the stiff, green and limited Dubois.

Not the greatest fight but should get him some rounds in hammer is tough but it's a laugh that Dubois is going around calling himself a world champion which he isn't it's a laughable papper title and Joyce is still hanging around but he has suffered a injury so nothing you can do I surpose
