Foreman would gas out. Similar styles, but Joyce is much bigger and his stamina is levels better.

Foreman's speed, elusiveness & in and out movement wins him a close SD. Although not known as a puncher, little George's quick-change lateral movement and lightning-fast feet get him into odd positions, kind of like Lomachenko, where his shots are hard to see coming. I could see this resulting in a flash-knockdown on Joyce, but he would never be hurt seriously.

If Foreman keeps the fight at a distance & doesn't allow big Joe to get off those huge bombs, I can see him possibly winning a controversial decision.

As much as we all love Foreman, has he ever beat a 6ft 6 , 260lbs+ behemoth. No, he hasn’t.

Foreman was 6ft 3, 220lbs and beat mostly guys smaller than him. You guys got your nostalgia glasses on. Not saying Foreman couldn’t win but it would be very unlikely given the size and skill advantage Joyce has. That jab would do Foreman’s hole ridden defence head in

The gas tank of Joyce prevails, Foreman in the 70s had the mentality none of his fights were going to go the distance and they did not, Joyce would still be there going forward with power in the later rounds, when Foreman would be running on empty.

Nostalgics don't give Joyce any chance because according to them, an old school fighter must always be better, even if he isn't better...

Isn't it a bit early to be pairing Joyce versus an ATG like Foreman?

Foreman is likely the hardest punching heavyweight ever.

Not an easy fight for Foreman. His style was of a bigger fighter, manhandling smaller, faster fighters, into positions where he could land with his immense power, which would be hard to do against such a huge heavyweight like Joyce. Plus Joyce wouldn't be easy to blow away and if the fight goes late you have to think Joyce with his work rate would take over and maybe stop Foreman.

But then again Foreman would be in the rare situation where he was the faster fighter and with how easy Joyce is to hit at times he definitely would give Joyce's chin the ultimate test. But even if Joyce could take Foreman's power with his chin, could he take it too the body? The one time we've seen Joyce hurt it was too the body against Jennings and Foreman was a brutal body puncher.

Joyce simply hasn't proven enough to me to pick him over one of the ATG's. I see a wild fight early on, like Foreman/Lyle or Joyce/Takam, both landing big shots but Foreman's body attack takes it's toll and forces Joyce to be less aggressive like we saw vs Jennings after being hurt to the body. Foreman eventually breaks Joyce down forcing the ref the step in to stop it with Joyce still on his feet.

Amazing how beating Joseph Parker, now means your comparable to ATG Heavyweights in mythical match ups. Who knew beating Joseph Parker was the benchmark.

It's almost Laughable....It also took Joyce 11 Rounds to finally finish Parker....Could you imagine what a Prime Foreman would have done to Parker.!!!

I pick Foreman right now quite comfortably, he is proven at a higher level.

But Joyce is on a good trajectory right now, I'm a big fan of his style.

Also remember Foreman proved the nostalgia haters wrong when he came back out of retirement as a slow old man and managed to knock out the heavyweight champion of the world, 20 years after his first stint as champ. And that was a significantly declined version of George.

Not sure if people realize Joyce has 0 defense. I don’t care how good your chin is if George Foreman tees off on you you are getting KO’d.

What skill advantage? And Joyce has worse defense that Foreman. He was getting hit flush with hard shots from Dubois and Parker.

Thank you for this moment of sanity in what is lurching into irrationality . Joyce has literally fought no one and he's already an old heavyweight. Foreman's jab controls the fight and when he lands his right that ain't Joesph Parker hitting him this time. Joyce can be hit, therefore he loses.

I don't understand why this myth about fighters back then being too small to compete with modern day fighters is still going.

Foreman and Ali were around 6ft 2/6ft 3, and weighed around 215-220lbs.

Usyk and Povetkin were similar weights and heights.

Many fighters around 6ft 2/3 weigh around the 220lb mark, so not really that big of a difference.

There may be more 6ft 6 inch 250lb dudes around now, but they still get beat by smaller fighters.

Wilder has been all the way down to 210lbs, it's obvious that having more weight on him has no effect on his punching power, which is why he's gone back down to 215 from 240lbs.

Usyk at 6ft 3 and 220lbs is only 5-10lbs heavier than the bigger fighters during the time. Not much of a difference. That extra weight doesn't always mean much.
