Two hard-hitting HWs without much defense. Who wins?

I'd favour Joyce. Makh fights nothing like Zhang. He's far more predictable, just walks in the throws the right hand which is why Takam was able to last the distance. He won't punish Joyce for his mistakes like the counter punching Makh and you have to wonder how Makh would do against an opponent who is even bigger than him and who could push him back.

Considering what both have shown so far, I have to go with Joyce this time unless something changes in the future, Joyce has lost two fights in a row, but he is also more proven and has better wins than Makhmudov...

Joyce has lost 2 in a row and was blasted out his last fight. Makhmudov does it to him again in a rock'em sock'em robots kind of fight.

Sorry guys but Joyce is all washed up. You dont get brutally stopped 2 fights in a row past the age of 38 and are still the same fighter. Also, it looks like all those years of using his face as a defence for punches finally caught up with him.

Makmudhov stops Joyce at this stage.

It's all downhill for Joyce from here. He's career trajectory would be similar to how Kownackis after the Helenius fights.

A year ago I would have said Joyce easily. I think Mak likely KOs him at this point even though he isn't on Zhangs skill level.

Joyce looked like he'd seen a ghost while walking out for the Zhang rematch and he hadn't even been dropped in the first fight, let alone blown out in one-sided fashion. He's taken a ridiculous amount of punishment in his career and must be on the slide physically as well as mentally. He's made some decent money but must know that he probably won't hold a belt now and beating Makhmudov in itself wouldn't get him there. He'd probably suffer a similar fate to Wach at this point. Makhmudov would be very confident of knocking him out and would be throwing heavy leather from the first bell.

Joyce's confidence is at an all time low

His frame of mind isnt the same

    He will doubt himself

He will make mistakes out of desperation and Mak will chin him.

Zhang ruined Joyce's punch resistance. Makhmudov will knock his head off with a caveman shovel uppercut.

Gotta favor the Mak at this point. Joyce is pushing 39 and was trashed in his last two fights.
