Agreed,,he does look the same as years ago, except slower! I think that's what happens when you stay too long as an amateur, you don't really progress

Joyce has slowed down some for sure. Watch his early pro fights to now.

This was a perfect example of boy vs man. Joyce's experience proved to be too much for Dubois.

Dubois is young in age and young in terms or experience and Joyce is much more battle-tested and a real handful and Dubois had never been in that situation before and wasn't used to his opponents being able to withstand his power like that. Nothing he did could deter Joyce from ramming that jab in his face all night and I think that made him doubt himself more and more as the fight progressed and that in addition to his eye swelling shut took its toll on him mentally. Anyone who's shared a ring with Joyce will tell you that he's not an easy guy to fight and doing so is very different to what you anticipate from watching him on film so in hindsight is was a mistake for Dubois' teem to rush him into a fight of this magnitude against someone of Joyce's caliber and experience.

I dont know who was up on the cards but it wouldn't surprise me if Dubois was ahead.

Dubois showed some good stuff against an experienced unit in Joyce.

He's got the potential but probably it was too soon to throw him in against Joyce, that was always the risk.
