Both fighters' weaknesses have been exposed... it's a question of which one is smarter about having learned from what went wrong for them in their most recent fights, and making the necessary adjustments. Will Joyce be smarter enough not to just stand in front of Wilder and give Wilder time to plant his feet and wind up that big overhand right? If Joyce manages to keep his head moving and to keep Wilder on his back heels, will Wilder be ready to make adjustments for that?

That is a pretty crazy fight because of how much of a stylistic anomaly both of them are. One guy moves like hes underwater but is a ****ing unit who keeps up pressure more than a man of his size typically would and has (or had) an iron chin, the other has massive power but is very basic and vulnerable.

Only sure thing is theres no way it goes to decision.

Both very basic and very limited fighters. Both have completely different attributes which hopefully will make it an interesting fight.

Very true that, if he'd established a jab against Parker I still think he'd have lost but maybe wouldn't have gotten beaten up so much

While I do agree with many of your points I just think Wilder is all wrong for Joyce. Based on tonight as well I really don’t see him being able to beat Wilder. I think Deontay beats any version of Joyce who is way too static to win this. You really need solid footwork to beat him, which Joyce fundamentally lacks.

You may well be right... I'm not sure quite how solid your footwork even needs to be, though - but it'd definitely be interesting to find out.

I just think Joyce is better than anyone Wilder's beaten - and that's considering I think Joyce is overrated, too... Just less overrated and better proven than Ortiz was.

Full credit to Wilder if he pulled it off, let's hope it happens.

Joyce looked slow and plodding against Ali. Not sure he is the same fighter post-Zhang.

I'll try find the time and look through his fights later but like I mentioned about 7-8 years ago, maybe a little more?

Im not sure but i do think before he faced Fury. Stiverne was stationary and small so his jab would have looked good against him.

A little late but still an intriguing clash of styles. One of those fights that seems 50/50 on paper but in hindsite the winner will have seemed so obvious.

It's nice that a lot of people are picking Wilder. I've been a big fan of Wilder's for years.

    Wilder should retire, though

Both are big punchers. But Joe Joyce will outweigh Wilder by close to 70 pounds.

Parker (who Joyce outweighed and stopped) outweighed Wilder by 30 pounds. Joyce will likely outweigh Wilder by more than double that.

If Wilder fights at all, he should be closing out his career fighting cruiserweights looking to step up.

Let Wilder outweigh someone by a couple pounds for a change. The last time Wilder outweighed an oppponent was 12 years ago. And Wilder had a huge (sarcasm) 2-pound weight advantage.

Wilder shouldn't be in the ring getting rag-dolled by much heavier fighters at his age.

Nobody would even buy a fight if Wilder outweighed his opponent by 70 pounds.

Yet, they still expect Old Deontay to waste fighters with significant to ridiculous weight advantages over him.

Maybe he'll pull it off. But they should stop putting him in this situation, regardless.

70 pounds is a lot to give up for anyone, let alone an older guy.

Joy Joyce vs '' Washed up '' Wilder?

Sounds like a bad western or a 4th rate Wrestling Match up.

After watching Joyce fight a hand picked can, Wilder knocks Joyce out cold. Joyce look like he is even slower now and his foot worker looks worst too.

Joyce simply wants to test if his chin is still Okay after big bang.
