Good scrap but Jennings showed some pop on him when he had Joyce hurt from the first round with a body shot making Joyce wince and cover up.... and then an overhand right making Joyce throw a war cry.

Also props to Rivas on his win over Jennings showing he’s the real deal for his upcoming bout with Whyte

    Thoughts?

Even matchup imo but I slightly lean towards Joyce due to his workrate and stamina. As we saw though, Joyce got badly hurt to the body early on against Jennings and Whyte is very good at going to the body. Joyce to either stop Whyte very late or win a close decision.

I'd go 55-45 in favour of Joyce but Whyte winning wouldn't be a suprise if they ever fought. Whyte's heart can't be questioned he has loads of it even if I do think he falls short against most of the top tier.

Joyce looked a little vulnerable against Jennings, who isn't known to be a power puncher. I don't think Joyce should come in below 260 again. He looked significantly weaker at 256lb, and looked drained against Jennings. He's a big unit, he needs that added strength, because he's not known for a one hit type of guy. I do think Whyte stops Joyce, on that performance last night. The version that fought Stiverne and Ustinov, different story.

I would heavily favour Whyte in this matchup. Joyce lack of defence against Whyte's hook, plus that body shot from Jennings hurt him last night and Whyte's one of the best body punchers at HW.

Whyte would bust up the arm waving boxercise mummy. Sharp jabs to snap Joyce's head back, brutal lefts and rights to the body to double Joyce up. Joyce might last the distance, but he won't enjoy the following morning.

joyce is in for a beating when he steps up.

he's too slow and his "volume" is just pitter patter arm punches that get weaker and slower the longer it goes.

Agreed, I wonder whether he's utterly burnt out and overtrained given his frankly mental schedule the last 12 months.

He looked good at first using lateral movement and mixing the punch variety up, but it lasted like a round before he resorted to type.
