Thanks very much for all your hard work confirming that, I'm sure it was far more than a mild inconvenience. Douchebag.

I don't see why Joyce then would take a high stakes match. It's a high risk low reward fight really if he's already mandatory.

You are quite welcome, but next time try doing that 'mild inconvenience' rather than being a snarky git with asking for 'source?' and you'll find fewer people being snarky with you back.

    Because, as I said, he's not a *****.

Plus, getting paid is better than not getting paid. He's 35 already and assuming everything goes right for him and he goes on to win the title he probably won't have a long title reign regardless. Make the money he can while he can. And I don't think Parker is all THAT difficult a fight, given his last few outings.

Calm down babe. I fail to see how asking for a source is snarky, but ok. Just forget about this.

I agree, I suppose it's a decent set up fight.

Kevin Barry sucks. He can't awaken the beast which lies beneath that passive Samoan demeanor. He failed Tua and he failed Parker. Parker should have hooked up with Roach, Sanchez or Sugar Hill YEARS ago. Parker used to be way more aggressive, I don't believe that shift was just down to the increase in competition, his coaches made him into a more passive, and lethargic fighter. Sometimes the old Joe comes out to play, the 12th round against Whyte being a good example. It's possible to reverse this, but his new trainers need to recognize the problem and correct it ASAP.

I don't see Parker winning, he seems a bit too passive for me. Joe Joyce will simply walk forward with the jab, and slow plod his way to a decision because neither are gonna get stopped.

I can't believe im saying this. But this is a 50/50 fight. I favor Joyce to be the better man on the night and win a decision but Parker has some attributes to cause Joyce issues. Parker has decent foot speed, quick hands, a quick jab albiet mediocre. He's certainly a bit better than Jennings at this point.

Joyce's pressure, volume and his jab is what will be the absolute decider. If Parker lacks his confidence like he has in multiple previous bouts then Joyce's pressure and workrate will mentally break him mid fight, Parker will lack the heart to fight back and get battered to a decision. But if he has any instinct left and is able to keep his construct and box, i actually think Parker would win a dull decision.

Like i said, i think Joyce takes it by decision though because Parker lacks ambition. He sucks now and was never all that to begin with.

He'll give Parker a chance to land some nice right hands, which might steal some close rounds, but it's very possible that Joyce just out-hustles him.

    Both have great Chins.

Joyce punches harder and has more heart.

This is what I see happening. I can definitely see Parker landing the occasional good shot, the hand speed advantage that he has over Joyce would be insane. The difference is in all the fights I've seen of both, Joyce is a consistent worker and Parker isn't. I see that as what it comes down to.

Joyce beats Parker quite easily, wears him down and stops him within 7.

Sloppy joes been on the decline for a while now, a battered plodding Chisora arguably beat him last time up.
