I could see it going either way. Primo is the better boxer, while Joyce hits harder, and can probably take a shot better. I'll give the edge to the more proven Primo.
Joyce is slow as ****, and many people on here are doubting Carnera's ability to crack with a punch. I don't think Joyce hits as hard as Baer Carnera UD 12, might have to get off the canvas
Novice Ray Impellitiere was outboxing Primo until he ran out of gas,Im not a huge fan of Joyce and think his power is overated ,but he does have a good engine for a big guy.Carnera doesn't have the power to hurt him so I'll go for Joyce to win by dec or late stoppage.
At this point I have to say Carnera, because Joyce hasn't beaten anybody yet. He has time to change my mind.
I don't think too highly of Carnera. But, Joyce may be the single slowest boxing prospect in history. It was painful watching Joyce trying to put together combinations against out-of-shape, tub of lard, Bermaine Stiverne. The only thing Joyce showed me at all was a potentially decent chin. But, he will be exposed badly by anybody in the top 10. Carnera UD over Joyce.
As of now Carnera. Joyce didn’t look great against an awful Stiverne. Carnera is more proven but Joyce has to fight more so we can learn more.
Joyce is doing incredible in the polls. I was originally thinking about making this a Joyce vs. Impelletiere thread.
I'd hazard a guess that Joyce would do ok against: Sebillo 7-13-4 Thomas 8-10-0 Ruggirello7-7-0 Islas 5-3-0 Barrick 16-23-9 Roesmann 36-14-3 Diener 19-7-3 Nilles38-22-6 Lete 8-4-1 Thomas[2]12-21-2 Nikolaeff 4-16-0 Jaspers 5-1-1 Carnera's early opponents How about these guys? 23rd fight Jim Sigman 8-20-1 26th Roy Clark 5-11-2 29th Frank Zaveta 2-7-0 30th George Trafton 4-0-0 47th Umberto Torrianni 1-11-2 54th Jerry Pavelec 4-9-0 68th Joe Rice 4-2-0 69thJimHermes 4-1-0
