There is nothing idiotic about interpreting that from what you said. If a person is already very tall for his weight how can it be Established beyond a doubt, certain, hard, incontestable, incontrovertible that there is no scope for him to weigh more without being taller? It is inarguably true that changes in sports science and PEDs have allowed boxers to reach their heaviest weight potential (in a much more functional way) than at any other point in history. It is inarguable.
STOP trying to interpet it. It JUST means what it means. But I didn't say that you utter lunatic. Nothing I said even vaguely hints at it you mad *******. Read, carefully, and try to understand: When a fighter is taller he can comfortably hold more weight. A truism. That's it. That's all. No hidden meaning. No requirement for "interpretation". Impossible to argue with. Beyond dispute. Just accept it. You'll feel better.
All fighters can carry extra weight more comfortably than ever before. That is beyond dispute too. If you make a fighter taller, if that were possible, presumably yes they could more comfortably hold extra weight. In the meantime, there have always been lighter boxers with extra scope to be much heavier who today would all be heavier because it is easier to carry extra weight more comfortably than ever before. You don’t think that changes in sports science and PEDs have allowed boxers to reach their heaviest weight potential (in a much more functional way) than at any other point in history? You don’t think that is also inarguable? What is wrong with a theory whereby there used to be guys that were unable to comfortably carry the weight they needed to carry in order to be successful as boxers?
Well done! We got the rub of the matter in just five or six posts, which is pretty quick for you. We have now agreed as to the increased weight of heayvweights between the fifties and 2018 and one aspect of that weight gain! It's in part because fighters got taller.
Are you going to address the other part? The part where it is inarguable that all fighters carry weight more comfortably than ever before? That it could be more feasible that fighters who were for generations unable to comfortably carry the weight they needed to in order to be successful can now do so?
Would watch a reality tv show featuring choklab & McGrain living together, some vintage chok in this thread. McG =
You mean if the same person is taller he can carry more weight? Or do you mean if person A is taller than person B, then person A can carry more weight?
Why? It seems clear that individuals unable to comfortably carry enough weight in order to be successful at boxing in the past are now able to. That’s why.
