Once fury has recovered form his ko loss to wilder, a fight with joyce Looks like the Logical choice.
joyce seems to have been placed on the undercard for exactly this Scenario.

who do you got?? i pick joyce to wreck him.

If Fury beats Wilder - Fury will be fighting Joshua in early 2019. No way Hearn & Warren will let that fight marinate because it's a big risk that Fury can keep his focus for any length of time.

Joyce has split with David Haye. His new promotion team wants to build him up in the USA before a big title fight. Joyce is 33, so they can't wait too long - but I suspect that Joyce's next opponent will be

    (hold your noses)

    Chris Arreola.

And if Fury does lose to Wilder - Fury could enter the picture after that.

Joyce should fight Kownacki next. There are no promotional/managerial conflicts involved, and it would be an entertaining fight.

Wilder banged on about "peasant money" and "slave owners"

    Joyce's purse tonight?

    Who's it being paid by?

Yeah, Joyce is the real deal. Unfortunately, most of the second tier guys ahead of him in the rankings will always choose journeymen over Joyce. It's a shame that Haye didn't make a success of the Dave deal, but I think the way Joyce handled Lewison so easily made it hard for him to improve on his opposition without the Haye - Bellew undercard money.

Funny because I was thinking Joyce would be Fury's first title defense.

Joyce has to move quick, and he really isn't going to improve much, so they might as well throw him in there against the winner.

Joyce would be good first defence for Fury after he easily UDs wilder.

Windmill can do a highly anticipated rematch with Dustin Nichols on the undercard.
