Joe Joyce vs Zhilei Zhang is set for April 15th

I think this matchup is all wrong for Zhang.
Zhang has stamina issues and tends to gas in the second half of fights.
If Zhang gasses against Joyce, he could take a beating.
Joyce by TKO in 10 rounds or less..

 

Explosive.

 

Zhang can win this, hes just got to be able to take the punch and handle the pressure.

 

This has late stoppage for Joyce written all over it. Joyce will pressurise Zhang, then as Zhang gasses late as he always does, will take him out.

 

I don't think Zhang has the legs or gastank to stay with Joyce in this, but if anyone can dent Joyce's chin, it's Big Bang Zhang!

Great fight, will be tuning in for this one!

 

Joyce will retire fighting B-levels.

 

I'd say early stoppage for Joyce. I know Zhang has a chin but Joyce's power and engine will see him through early.

 

Personally I'll be surprised if it gets into the 4th round. Both guys aren't exactly defensive specialists.

 

April is shaping up to be a great month for heavyweight boxing! AJ on the 1st, joyce on the 15th, and, if warren is to be believed, Fury vs Usyk on the 29th.

It would be nice if we could get Wilder vs Ruiz in may.

This fight is great matchmaking. Joyce has gone from being viewed as a joke to an authentic top 5 heavy. It's great to see

 

very interesting fight. glad zhang got a big fight after hrgovic...Never underestimate when 2 guys the same size fight eacht other. Anything can happen even joyce getting knocked down here i said it.

 

April is looking pretty hot for HW boxing. I like Joyce by mid-late rounds stoppage.

Can you imagine how slow the slo-mo highlights will be between rounds? They'll have to increase the 1 minute rest time.

 

i haven't seen enough of zhang to gauge his consistency, but from what i saw, he has really good timing. and joyce isnt hard to time. zhang wont have too hard a time coming over the top of joyce mechanical jab. i think he hurts him. he will have to do it in the first half of the fight, because he will be depleted much faster than joyce, which gets him taken out late.
if zhang could roll out after coming over the top, he could avoid lots of damage. thats what i thought parker was gonna do. but parker would land his right, over the top, and remained there for joyce to retaliate. thats when joyce would mash em up. but i dont think zhang has the agility to roll out, so he needs to hurt joyce with the rights he lands.
