Joe Joyce wasn't mentioned as replacement for Jarrell Miller?

Is it an insult that Hearn didn't include Joe Joyce? Is he really that far behind Kownacki... Agit... Charr.. Hunter Jr?

How would that fight have gone down?

Yeah Joe is slow... but his punches hurt A LOT. And he is relentless with his pace, always coming forward like the Juggernaut he is...

He is a lean, athletic 265 LBS/ 19 STONE/ 120KG and 197CM behemoth of a man that can do a somersault... I bet 95% of everyone on this forum can't do a somersault.

Same reason athleticism has to do with boxing, same reason boxing has to do with the olympics, same reason boxers do strength and conditioning, same reason they go running.

It's a feat of strenght and agility for a 120KG 6'6 man to do that. Don't hate.

He has extremely slow feet and looks like a Frankenstein when he fights, so his somersaulting ability doesnt transfer very well to his boxing athleticism, now if he was a kick boxer and he was able to land extremely fast head kicks perhaps i could see the connection.
I mean he can do that great somersault, but he cant throw a hook without any hip rotation at all, it looks like he has a fused back the way he throws his hooks. :D
Am i wrong? Am i ****ing wrong?!

Im not hating either, I like Joe Joyce, im on the Juggernaut Express, But rights right.

Yeah I already said the guy is slow, but his pace is relentless and his does immense damage with his punches ...look how he finished Kiladze faster than Kownacki...

Maybe his somersault abiltiy doesn't translate well to his explosiveness... but you tell me of someone who is slow and 120KG that can do a somersault.

That is a serious physical feat and commands respect.

The incredible Juggernaught has his hands full with Warren's pet frankenstein Daniel Dubois. He's just been let out of the basement, and is running amok down town!

I'd put Joyce right now on the same level as Kownacki and Hunter and above Charr and Bryan. He doesn't look good on the eye test, but he gets tremendous results with his seemingly slow and awkward style. I would definitely have included him in the mix if the likes of Charr were involved, although being British and an Olympic medallist it might not have been a fight Hearn particularly wanted made just yet.

I don’t think his feet are that slow...his overall footwork is actually pretty decent. It’s just everything else he does that looks super slow.

Yeah, there are boxers that can benchpress some huge numbers but don't punch that hard. Wilder can dunk a basketball but can barely throw a one two without falling over his own feet. Joshua can do the 100 in 11 seconds but has cement feet.

Athleticism is a wooly and meaningless concept really.

In my idea he shouldn't be.
He's a 18 month pro and his best win is past it Stiverne, who let's face it, doesn't have a single legit win in almost 5 years now (thought he should have lost the Rossy fight).

I think JoJo is one of the top HW prospects right now, and I favor him over Dubois if that actually happens. But he's not a contender yet.

LMAO! I can't understand how Joyce can be both dull and charming at the same time. Great stamina but he is so plodding and slow cant see him beating any of top 3. DAZN are trying to get boxing subscriptions and maybe Konwacki etc are better known? It looks bad to casuals if AJ fight a guy with 8-0 record at Madison Square Gardens as a headliner. Really the only opponent that no one can complain about is Ortiz and he won't take the fight obviously because he's on PEDs. They are probably getting the stuff out of his system then announcing next week fingers crossed. Ruiz Jr, Hunter will all get Koed as soon as they taste a right hand, probably Ortiz too but at least its a good comparison to Wilder.

You have GOT to be kidding me, if you are being real you must be the only one here who thinks Joe is still a prospect.

He beat Lewison amd Bacurin faster than Whyte, he made short work of Lenroy who Allen struggled with, he made short work of Stivern where Wilder went many rounds with the first time, he made short work of Kiladze faster than Kownacki

Is Agit and Charr and Hunter and Kownacki more deserving than him? Come off it.
