Joe Joyce wasn't mentioned as replacement for Jarrell Miller?

It's not about whether he beats AJ or not, his name should be mentioned along with the other replacement noob list.

Joyce is a rare exception today in that he is being moved fast given his age, and don't expect him to be 16 - 0 before he meets one of the top 3, he will face them long before that.

His team feel he is ready in 2 fights to go for title shot and I agree, having another 8-10 fights ain't gonna help him.

I'd give Joyce more chance than Ruiz

Somersaults and cart wheels are Joshuas Kryptonite. They then saw Joyce on the nunchucks and knew he had AJ's number.

it's why they ducked Joyce. :lunchacos:

    Nope, dead serious.
The Stiverne JoJo fought came off a KO1 loss and in my view 3 losses in a row, spanning 4½ years. Whyte hardly ever finishes his opponents early and Kiladze came of 2 KO losses in a row.
Agit, Hunter and Kownacki sure, Charr is a cheater who got lucky to get a secondary belt, so not him.

You make a fair point, even though I believe Wilder's ability to dunk is related to his ability to one punch someone into oblivion.

So are you not impressed with the somersault thing? Why don't you show some appreciation?

    He's had 8 fights.

His best win is fat, shot, never that good to begin with Stiverne.

He's English and has next to no profile in the US where the fight will be held.

So no, he's not a credible replacement. If Hearn had referenced him he'd be slaughtered here and elsewhere.

Why does it make a different coming off losses/KO's... are you suggesting that it weakens you as a fighter???

I can argue that it motivates you not to make the same mistakes again and show up prepared, or push harder.

You aren't giving Joe much credit, and Whyte was pretty much putting guys down quickly early in career... like the Sokolowski fight.

It's not Joe's fault that he hasn't been put in with top 15 material... but he certainly ain't no prospect... who wins these match ups:

    Joyce vs Kownacki
    Joyce vs Agit
    Joyce vs Charr
    Joyce vs Hunter Jr

To put things into perspective for you

Yeah it's impressive, but what bearing does it have on his boxing?

Fighters can't stand around and assume anything. Joshua is a 4 belt title holder and also being former teammate didn't really consider him , Joyce could have said this week ago to Hearn directly . Non belt holders need to understand that champions aren't going to chase everyone.

Joyce is probably the most threat to Joshua but right now I really don't think Hearn is to excited about 2 U.K guys at MSG. Joyce will get his shot but I think that's a U.K fight , Joyce should've signed with Hearn if his goal was Joshua , these guys want AJ but they know how to get the fight ? Lol

Kabayel's a very good fighter. Or are you referring to his lack of renown?

Yeah I mean Hearn did say he was considering ALL heavyweights on the planet, ANYONE was welcome to get in touch.. so I figured Joyce has just as right to apply... I mean he is more worthy then some of the shortlist as a fighter.

He is good, but he ain't special - and he hasn't proved himself anymore than Joyce has really. I guess the monaco fight was a bit of a controversy but I still think Joyce is as much of a threat as Kabayel if not MUCH more.

In terms of marketability, they are both equal... they bring equally little value in persona although I'd say Joyce is more known if it came down to surveys.
