Joe Joyce wasn't mentioned as replacement for Jarrell Miller?

Shades of Micheal Myers in the ring
AJ don't want that smoke, he wants a tub of goo. Like you said Joyce is a freak of nature, more gifted than AJ imho.

AJ is going to get clipped he's just too stiff.

At this point it's more who's marketable.

I think Joyce would also have to actually be prepared better for as he's also a power puncher. He holds things other fighter don't such as size and durability making him a top level threat.

i don't think people really grasp that Joyce is a real person who stands 6'6 and 260/270 and is not all easy fight , he would get by most including Ortiz . I'm not even sure Wilder gets by him but the Breazeales fight will tell me that since Breazeales is a Joyce like fighter minus the punch out put and accuracy.

They were included for one reason and one reason only. To strengthen Hearn's negotiating position with the guys he really wanted.

He got KO'd 2 times in a row which usually kills a fighter's resistance and motivation.

Almost every boxer has early career fast KO's. But he seems to be a slow starter when there's real opposition.
And what's with not giving JoJo much credit? Like I said, one of the best prospects in HW boxing. But with 1½ years and 8 fights under his belt too green. He's no Mike Tyson and even he was much more active before getting his titleshot.

He should fight that opposition first though. I hate it when a boxer gets a titleshot without first having fought a top 20 or even top 50 opponent.
Joyce vs Kownacki > I favor JoJo
Joyce vs Agit > I favor JoJo
Joyce vs Charr > I favor JoJo
Joyce vs Hunter Jr > I favor Hunter
But he still hasn't proven that. People (me included) were pretty sure Price was gonna stop TTT back in the day. He first has to prove it though.

Good analogy, he is a friendly Michael Myers, very polite when he is trying to smash your face in.

Fair play, we can agree to disagree because I see Joyce as an exception he is aproaching mid 30s and he needs to be pushed fast and have crack rather then go slow, and work his way into a seasoned pro.

And to be fair, all his handlers can clearly see he is a novice on paper but the guy has a strong chance against anyone... he is a powerhouse.

Joyce vs Hunter would be extremely interesting because they can both take punches, they both defend with their faces (moreso Joyce)

But Joyce punches harder... and I reckon his power will be the one to upset Hunter. That is a great match up.

I got Joyce on that one if he can work on his accuracy a bit more.

    But when they land BANG
He knows how to clubber through guards well too. He's also long so he can hit you half way across the ring

Way more technical than D.Breazele imo

He might not be special in the Usyk sense, but he's a well-rounded, well-schooled fighter with legit world class skills.

I'll agree with you that he isn't much more proven than Joyce at the moment, but his win over Chisora is still better than anyone Joyce has on his resume. And while he doesn't have that raw power that Joyce seems to possess, he's clearly not lacking in pop, as Rudenko found out. He's also a lot more defensively sound than Joyce and picks his shots far better.

Right now there are still a lot of unknowns around both men to make any firm predictions about their threat level to Joshua. Either man could turn out to be a major player.

Nobody has sparred more rounds with Joshua than Joyce, also Joyce just signed with Frank warren you think hearn didn't know that beforehand that's why he ruled him out, Joyce probably turned matchroom down

Joe Joyce is a little way behind Andy Ruiz Jr and Michael Hunter in terms of opponent choice. He has only just gone up a level in facing Stiverne.

If its offered to him he should still take it because his age is against him. But he is realistically behind the other potential choices.

I would personally really like to see Joe Joyce or Daniel Dubois face AJ, but its got to be atleast 12 months away for either of them
