Joe Joyce ?

Honestly he’s so slow and limited, the only thing he has is very heavy hands. I think the top guys beat him rather convincingly. Best of luck to him though, he seems like a nice enough guy.

 

He should rematch Usyk. would be a great fight I think.

Had a close fight with Jennings (I thought it was closer than judges had it and thought there was only a couple of points in it). That said along with Bakole I see Joyce being hard to find willing fighters who are seen as progression fights. As far as I am aware their still looking to match for EBU with Huck which would a decent fight.

If Joyce is successful against Huck I'd like to see Joyce vs Dubois but by the sounds it Joyce's team aren't interested and claim to want more proven fighters. Any of Kabayel, Takam or Kownkaci wouldn't be a bad EBU defence.

 

He's like a more robotic and stiff Joshua. Dude isn't the goods. Dubois would probably beat him.

I think he is about top 15. He might be able to beat some of the fighters who are in some peoples top 10.

It remains to be seen whether he is marketable enough and has the backing to get the biggest fights out there. I have my doubts.

He can definitely win the EBU title. But to win a world level strap he is going to need good timing and luck

 

Tbh at the that, before hooking up with Haye, Chisora was not a fighter making big money anymore.

£60k was low though.

 

He's already 34 and doesn't have time on his side, needs to move as fast as possible with his career.

He seems to have a rock solid chin and impressive work rate but damn is he slow.

 

I thought it was disappointing he didn't KO Jennings. But he did more than enough to out point him in my opinion. He usually performs better when he's heavier, he looked a little weak in the mid 250s. He's a very big unit.

 

I've honestly never seen a top level HW with such awful punch mechanics before. Not only does he arm punch in slow motion but it looks like he puts no venom in his shots whatsoever. It's a wonder he causes such damage to his opponents, because technically he makes even Foreman look like Joe Louis. If he could actually get some weight behind his shots I shudder to think what effect he could have on opponents.

 

Joyce is way over hyped. Cannot see him beating any of the top HWs
