ffs Mitch. Anything to do with Wallin being a former Fury opponent and Takam/Pulev being former Joshua opponents by any chance?
Wallin only win above journeyman level is against Brezeale. Pulev has beaten the likes of Chisora, Hughie and Dimitrenko.
Just hates Fury so every single post is designed to criticise him directly or indirectly. Very boring.
It's bizarre how good Wallin has become in the eyes of fans without beating anyone. One would think Whyte decided to avoid King Kong.
I'm not sure Wallin has become good in the eyes of the fans. I'd say he is a far more interesting opponent for Joyce (or Whyte, for that matter) than a 40 year old Pulev though. Wallin at least earned a chance to be considered for these types of fights, surely, by his performance against Fury. He might be good, he might not be. He's 30 years old and seems willing to step up. If he's crap, he deserves to be found out. It's bizarre that boxing fans would not be interested in him, would rather see 40 year old re-treads, and would almost rejoice in his career being stalled by a contender like Whyte pulling out with a dubous injury claim. It's just stupid. We should be wanting these younger fighters to be getting fights, getting active, before they become old. We should be wanted the 'unproven' fighters to be tested and proven one way or the other, find their level. Instead of Pulev, Takam, etc. every day of the week.
I think it's a good fight it was more the narrative of whyte ducking wallin. When that fight was announced I don't remember but many calling wallin a threat.
Well, Whyte pulled out at late notice with a "serious injury" and then soon after was talking like he was ready for Fury, and with no concern about an injury, making the injury claim look suspect. To put it mildly. I think Wallin has a right to say he was ducked by Whyte. When someone arranges a fight then pulls out with a probably fake injury, that's possibly a duck. If someone did that to Whyte we'd never hear the end of it.
