Yet still Wilder ended falling arse over tit more in both the second and third fights than Povetkin did in that fight.
The Parker fight would be a good one for Joyce. He's well known in the UK now so it'd be easy to promote. Joyce absolutely batters him. At 36, he's running out of time now for title shot but I honestly think he beats anyone currently including Fury. He might be slow but has good timing, strong as a bull, Duracell bunny levels of stamina and a granite chin. Juggernaut really is the perfect nickname. I think Joyce is similar to what Foreman would have been like in his early to mid 30s if he hadn't retired.
He could defend the British title. He has: Dillian Whyte Hughie Fury Daniel Dubois (rematch) Dereck Chisora
With the exception of Tyson Fury, Joe Joyce beats every UK Heavyweight, I think he'd outpoint AJ, I don't think the man whose favourite local business is a chain restaurant that stretches as far as Dubai would be able to handle the relentlessness of Joyce.
It would be an interesting contest between Joyce and Joshua. Joyce is quite easy to hit - even if he tries to be tight defensively I'd imagine Joshua would be able to get through. I wonder how he would take his punches. If he can (to a reasonable degree), one would have to imagine Joshua would be in big trouble and might panic a bit.
Joyce broke his wrist and will be out for at least 4-5 months. Wouldn't be surprised if his next fight would be in autumn 2022 honestly.
Has he? Nothing on twitter or in the news. A cynical man would say this seems very suspicious, as it is at the same time Fury announces he is looking to take a non-title fight in March. So this wrist break would conveniently take his stable mate off the board for that.
To be fair, they have also been carefully matching Joyce. As I recall he called out Ortiz a year or so back. Ortiz publicly accepted the challenged, and Joyce's team reeled him back in. I do agree it is tricky for Joyce though, he is currently WBO#1, but that is the last mandatory in line to be called behind WBA and IBF. So what does he do in the mean time? Then again, he didn't actually fight a final eliminator or anything yet, so he is kind of #1 by default and Warren's relationship with the WBO (Dubois was WBO#2 following his victory over Fujimoto ). I think as others point out, Parker seems like the most obvious match-up on the WBO ladder, but then again Hearn was talking about matching Parker with Hrgovic.
