In the Blue Corner, standing at 6'6, 80' reach, 271 lbs, hailing from the U.K: Joe "Juggernaut" Joyce

    VS

In the red corner, standing at 6'5, 85' reach, 260 lbs, hailing from Italy: Saint Primo "Sugar" Carnera

16x16 ft ring, 8 oz gloves.

Referee is 300 pound Butterbean so he can use his bulk to separate the two titans.

Whoever manages to occupy space and dictate the range. Ring generalship is crucial, the winner of a fight is usually able to win the fight due to his understanding and sense of positioning, distance and rhythm. Both of them are clumsy as hell, so rhythm is definitely out as far as this match up is concerned. In other words, distance management and positional superiority are key here, and whoever manages to impose himself better will be the one to win. It's obvious who will be able to do that better.

Whoever doesn't have Butterbean blocking his way.

Primo probably wouldn´t hit Joyce with uppercuts because Joyce is tall, but he would find Joyce´s head with his jabs... and rough him up in the clinches.
A pigeon happening to fly into the arena would hit Joyce´s head so easy he is to hit...

Joyce is terrible, but Primo is even more terrible. Joyce by TKO in a terrible fight before a crowd of terrified fans.

Juggernuts will likely take it. Carnera might have an aneurysm from facing a man bigger than him.

I don't understand why Primo gets a bad rap. He fought in the same style as the K2 brothers and had lots of wins and knockouts.

He just wasn't good enough, a big record looks nice, but he got bitched around by Baer- Who isn't exactly the best boxer around.

True,,but Baer would have slaughtered what we saw from Joyce and Chisora last week.

He had heart, that's for sure. We all understand however that many of his "wins" were mob related.

As bad as Joyce is, I think be beats Primo.

Joyce wins. I don't feel Primo really had the power to keep Joe honest.

Carnera was in no shape and form as easy to hit as Joyce, nor he was slower nor he was the lighter puncher... his fight with Baer he fought with a injury since the second round...

Joyce wasn’t always bad just bc he got beaten up in his late thirties and fell off a cliff afterward.

Primo works from behind a jab, whilst using his grappling skills and immense athleticism to steer away from tough exchanges, corners, and ropes. A decision I reckon. Carnera had an excellent gas tank even for a fifteen round era, and he was used to fighting a much more accurate, crafty, and nimble fighters. Joyce ain't outoworking him, and he ain't stopping him.

We can't say that Joyce is bad, we mustn't forget that he has wins over Jennings, Dubois, Takam and Parker, but simply time overtook him, he turned pro too late, in any case he would beat Carnera by TKO...
