Joe Louis is the greater heavyweight but I believe very strongly that Mike Tyson would be just too big and fast for him. Mike was explosive moving forward and I think he could put Joe back on his heels. Theres always the chance that Louis catches him with a perfect shot on the way in but I believe Tyson would be too much.
The key would be whether or not Tyson keeps his cool. If not,Louis catches him with his precise pinpoint punches.
Tyson inside 2 rounds the knockout would have been one of them brutal knockouts that is seen and shown for decades everytime someone mentions a big KO.
But Stevie, it is Joey Louis who needs to protect his shaky chin,,,, Tony "2 Tons of Lard" Galento v.nearly KTFO Prime Louis when he floored him And put him staggering on Anal-Penetration-Street. Obese Drunkard Shitter Galento is like a proper poor version of 2001 Toxic Tinkerbell from teh Brian "Beer Belly" Nielsen fight. So m8, IMO Louis would have to be proper careful of getting chin-checked by Midget Lisp. Did Prime Louis not take 13 Rounds of WAR to stop 174lber Billy Conn?? "Bronze Age" Baer, floored Prime Louis in the 1st Round, would Tinkerbell have smoked his ass there And then with a finisher combo?? Same thing with Old Braddock, a natural lightheavy (by old standards,,, really a Supermiddle today) who went pro about 160lbs (what Victor Ortiz weighed in his welter fight with Floyd!!), and Braddock was famously featherfisted And retired for 2 years, But he still floored Prime Louis in teh 1st Round. I dunno m8, But maybe Tinkerbell takes Heavyweight punches better then Lightheavys,,,,, in fact Billy Conn is only a Middle or v.small Supermiddle with modern weigh-ins And sizes. ALSO 183lb Bobby Pasta, a Supermiddle today, went 11 Rounds with Prime Louis beating on his ass. SO i dunno how Louis's power/chin translates to modern times m8. :think Foreman Hoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooook!:rasta
Good points,Hook. It's a genuine 50/50 one,I suppose. If Louis can somehow avoid Tyson's best shots for five rounds or so,then the test for Tyson will be taking Joe's big, fast, pinpoint right hands.
Tyson and early. Louis footwork wasnt all that, neither was his chin. 2 very important attributes if your going to beat Tyson, the third one is size advantage. Louis has none of them. And if Tyson gets you down, (espeically a peak Tyson), your staying down. Louis has even less of a chance than Frazier.
Agree m8, But i would say Tinkerbell Tyson a lil more than 5 Rounds of Good Stamina in 1986. :thumbsup Tinkerbell Stamina 1986-1989 = 7 Rounds of Good Stamina. Tokyo Tinkerbell 1990 = Unknown Stamina, only threw a pathetic 18 compubox punches per round. Tinkerbell Stamina 1991 = 7 Rounds of Good Stamina Tinkerbell Stamina 1995-1996 = 5 Rounds Good Stamina Tinkerbell Stamina 1997 = Unknown mystery, maybe 7 Rounds??? Tinkerbell Stamina 1999-2000 = 5 Rounds half decent-ish/half slow stamina. Tinkerbell Stamina 2001 = Dunno looked like total shite. Tinkerbell Stamina 2002 = 1 canny good round of Stamina. Tinkerbell Stamina 2003 = Uknown mystery, maybes 4 Rounds. Canny good while it lasted IMO. Tinkerbell Stamina 2004 = 1 semi-okish, semi-**** Round. Tinkerbell Stamina 2005 = Zero. None. No power left. None. **** all. Foreman Hoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooook!:hat
