Let's see one of these modern hooligans like a David Haye stop a runaway horse and rescue a woman. :bart

He'd probably use her as a human shield while running away from the runaway horse, so as to not muss his hair or break a nail.

Watching Joe Louis in slow motion is like washing down a butter poached filet mignon with Moët & Chandon in a bubble bath, while getting a simultaneous hand job and sponge-down from a talented ambidextrous naked pin-up model.

The guy fought nearly a century ago, yet we are still mesmerized by his ability to put a hurting on people.

You know what, watching him on those grainy black and white clips makes it look like you're watching a serial killer at work. How can someone try to decapitate another person with just his bare hands.

There hasn't been a heavyweight quite like him since.

Not even Ali, who arguably was as dominant but using a completely different approach.

Very nice. I love watching Joe Louis highlight videos. Something about the man inspires people to put in an above average effort at portraying his legacy (relative to other fighters).

When I think of the quintessential boxer as gentleman, I think of Joe Louis first and foremost. Truly a paragon for anyone to look up to who respects honesty, humbleness and hard work.

    Happy New Year everyone.
