The closest HW parallel to Louis stylistically in modern times is Alexander Povetkin. Wilder's more like a quicker, more explosive Max Baer.

Wilder's fundamentals too ragged and unco-ordinated..they only have power in common these two..Joe may have the better chin of the two too for my money..IMHO Joe gets inside Wilder's wild round house shots and dismantles him quick..Hell Fury could have stopped Wilder in 3 if he had those heavy hands The Brown Bomber had..amd dont forget Joe's combination punching...each shot KO written all over it.
Wilder has some of the wildest widest punches of any successful heavyweight. Louis probably has the most compact, perfect short power punches of any. Other than power and the fact they can both be hurt don’t see similarities.
