Tua has been getting a lot of attention in the classic section lately. This probably seems like a mismatch. However, many have previously picked the Tuaman to handily beat the great Jack Dempsey and even liked him in a tougher fight against Marciano. He would have a puncher's chance against Louis but could he actually have kept the great man down if he put him there? Could Louis be the first one in Tua's pro career to really hurt him with headshots to that anvil-like head?

My prediction - Louis TKO 10 Tua

The fight is stopped between rounds with Tua's eyes mere slits.

Tua has the type of power where he could put anyone down. Is he good enough to put Joe away if he hurts him? Yes. But he didn't put a lot of guys away late, when compared to early. Louis is an example of a fighter who carries his power. I think Louis would win, and I think 10 is a decent prediction.

Louis Would Destroy Tua But Not As Quick As Dempsey Would Have The Only One Of The Above Mentioned 3 He Would Have A Good Chance To Beat Would Be Rocky On Cuts.i Dont Care About 10,20,30 Damn Pounds Punching Power Is Punching Power Not Benchpressing Power All 4 Pretty Close To The Same Power But Not Skill Lois Would Dominate And Knock Tua Out By 8-12

Two-Ton Tony Galento put Louis down with a left hook.

Tua's hook is even more powerful.

Louis is a much better fighter overall (obviously), but he would need to be careful early and box Tua.

Lennox Lewis is much bigger than Joe Louis and pretty much handled Tua with ease.....but was still careful.

Louis by late TKO or wide UD.

Louis, by wide UD. Tua might knock Louis down at some point but he'll ultimately be getting pretty thoroughly outboxed over the duration.

I think the same but without the knockdown.
I think if Tua managed to catch Louis he'd put him away, but I don't think he'd be able to catch him.

    Tua has a punchers chance.

Against a fighter who has never been taken out by a single punch in 70+ profesional fights half of which were against ranked contenders this is a bit like a snowballs chance in hell.

I started same thread a while ago. Tua wipes the floor with Louis and finishes him in several rounds. Louis just doesn't have good enough defense or a style to avoid the troubles he'd be facing.

Dose Tua have good enough defence to avoid the trouble hes facing?

    Whipes the floor?

Louis wouldnt be able to miss his chin.

If you are open to flush combos from Louis you are in trouble however good your chin is. Baer and Uzcdun probably had chins as good as Tuas and look what hapened to them.

Tua has the chin to withstand what Louis has, but Louis doesn't have good defense against counters when he's on the offensive, he was put on his ass several times that way, by fighters who are not even close to Tua's punching power.

Beating Dempsey and beating Louis are two different propositions entirely. If I was given a choice at which to fight in a title shot I know which one I'd prefer to take on (it wouldn't be the guy with 20 odd consecutive title defences).

    Joe Louis wins.
Because he's an infinitely better boxer than Tua.
