    Bottom line is the BBBC's non-linear rulings are the only reason Savold had some form of recognition in the first place.

    You can't argue that they should be given credence in one instance, and then ignored in the next.

    When a champion retires a lot of promoters rush to get a commission on board to sanction a vacant title between fighters they can sign. Its like a gold rush. savold was given recognition because it was considered that the new champion should be decided in an international match between a top American and top European. something similar happened when Marciano retired Archie more was signed to fight james j parker a Canadian in Canada for some kind of vacant HW title bout. Its no more bogus than a lot of other background stories behind vacant title fights much later on. The Ibf came up with Schulz v Botha, The wba came up with tate v coetzee. savold v woodcock was exactly the same.
