Joe Louis in the 50s instead of the 30s

Imo he would not hold a title in the 70s. Frazier from '70-'73, Foreman from '73-'74 and Ali from '74-'78 would make it very tough for Joe to get the WBA/WBC titles imo. I think the only way he could win a world title, is to catch a past prime Ali in '77-'78 or Frazier in '72-'73.

 

So that means he would hold a title in the 1970's as well

 

Bruh i also think he would have crushed Leon Spinks and taken the golds.

 

I think he’d clean house in the fifties especially without the interruption of a world war and no need to do military service. I’m fairly confident that he’d beat Marciano, Walcott, Valdez, Patterson, Johansson, Charles, Moore, Machen and anyone else…. By 1959-1960 Louis would be slowing down however and a fight with a rising Sonny Liston would have been dangerous.

Louis stands no chance of beating Liston.

 

I love sonny but Louis would absolutely destroy any version of liston, in fact I would take the best version of Louis with chappie in his corner against anyone in 50s and 60s.. He was a much proven fighter, faster hands equal power and more skilled.. size is not a factor louis used to do intermittent fasting I think both have similar frame but liston wider and louis taller

Liston was hittable, that means Joe Louis has a chance. An explosive puncher who puts them together is always a threat. Liston has his advantages but its a rough nite for him.

 

He'd own that decade from Jan. 1, 1950 up until Dec. 31, 1959. Every fighter has a few rough moments over an extended stay at the top. Joe would and then he would right himself and continue his domination.

 

You cant be serious with that comparison.. Did you really compare Eddie Machen to Louis? They literally have no similarities whatsoever. I have a better one.. Conn schooled and almost defeated Louis. Prime Liston is far better fighter than Louis... You see how shitty this argument is?
