No he ain't. H2H, all in their prime, Liston will be way more successful than Louis.

But in this scenario, Louis is born in 1934 and turns pro in 1954.

I do not think Louis would have enough to beat a prime Frazier by the time he was 34.
The opposite is even more surely true, an older Frazier would lose-to even a 34 year old Louis. Swarmers age faster.

Louis would need all his reflexes & resources to beat a prime Frazier. He did not like swarmers, & even Godoy gave him a close fight the first time.

I also do not agree that it is at all clear that Liston even has the advantage over Louis-if both are still prime.
Like with Frazier or Marciano in their primes, at the very least arguments are plausible either way.
Liston was formidable, but some are in love with his power.
Unlike Louis he did not beat bigger very strong guys. He overwhelmingly ha the size & strength advantage.

Also Louis fought in average fought better competition.
And lost war years when he would likely have been completely dominant.
Patterson? Louis would also have beaten him without a problem. If more methodically.
Unless Louis was older as he was against Charles, where he 'saw the openings but just could not react in time" was essentially the quote in his ghostwritten autobiography.

There isn't a 50's Heavyweight that could have bothered Louis. Early 60's, he'd have big, powerful Liston and bigger, fast Ali but the previous decade, Joe would have an easier ride than his real era.

Cleveland Williams vs Louis would have been an entertaining tear up, although I think Williams fares as well as Buddy Baer

Would have been well worth the money but Williams was always hittable. A bad qualification against Joe.

Right but then you realize he wouldn't. Joe Louis looked good against the limited skilled fighters from his era. Most of these guys were light heavyweights or cruiser weights by modern standards. Joe Louis would of never won the title from the time Liston became champion to this day.

No i actually realized that he would walk through a LOT of champions in any era, you know leon Spinks was a champion, john tate was a champion the past his prime Mike Tyson was champion frank bruno was champion oliver mccall was champion ex.......i would favor the brown bomber to win the title or atleast a version of it in any era.

You do know John Tate was 6'4 and 240 pounds and was far more skilled than anybody Joe Louis fought. Frank Bruno would knock Joe Louis stiff in one round. Oliver McCall would knock Louis stiff in the first round. I assume you are one of these old guys who lives in this fantasy world where every boxer back in the day was this legendary figure. I live in the real world where boxing has evolved since Joe Louis time. Joe Louis wouldn't even be a cruiser weight champion today.

I think Louis would have taken a very tough SD against Liston, perhaps getting dropped along the way.

Then he maybe gets Scheming I'ed. But then he maybe Schmeling II's him in the rematch and/or rubber.

    And let me just anticipate:

"Hey hey hey - this is LISTON we're talking about here!"

Yep. And this is also Louis we're talking about here, so.
