As someone said in another thread, boxers are headcases. They have to be to get hit in the head for a living. And, as such, are very flawed humans in many cases. We have to accept our heroes in boxing for what they do in the ring. If we can't separate the man from the boxer, we'd have very few heroes. Just a few examples of revered fighters who wouldn't pass your test. Marvin Hagler allegedly hit first wife Bertha, there were allegations made of violence by Paulette Holyfield against Evander. In a video it is claimed that Sugar Ray Robinson kicked a woman in the stomach to terminate a pregnancy. Floyd Mayweather, Carlos Monzon, Edwin Valero. The list goes on.
