Widdow- I'm curious, what ATG heavyweight do you think can beat Wlad? I really want to know, it seems to me like you ducking the question.

Well, if he won't answer your question than I guess I'll have to step up to the plate here.

    .....Everett "Bigfoot" Martin.....

:rofl  I have a feeling Widdow thinks almost any ATG Heavyweight loses to Wlad, I already seen him pick Wlad over both Lewis and Louis.

the German boxer had scrutinized films of Louis's fights and discovered a habitual weakness in his defense, an unconscious lowering of his left glove after throwing a punch. (In more colloquial terms, the Cinderella Man, James J. Braddock, heavyweight champion from 1935 to 1937, thought Louis was "a sucker for a right hand; every time he jabbed he leaned way over and stuck his kisser out there, just begging to be socked.")

I've never actually heard him say that, so I won't make the accusation, but it seems to be the norm around here for most posters in the general forum to pick either Wlad or Vitali to beat past great champions. I have seen both Wlad and Vitali picked over Larry Holmes, Joe Louis, Muhammad Ali, Evander Holyfield, Mike Tyson, Joe Frazier, Sonny Liston, and George Foreman.

If that's not ****ed up enough for you, I've also seen Corrie Sanders ranked as a top 10 all time great.

Punisher, I am not playing this game today. You made false statements about me always picking Wlad in all sorts of Wlad vs ATG polls and it isn't true. Wlad vs Lennox Lewis is an argument that has been spilling over since they were both active heavyweight boxers. Isn't as if Lewis was some old retired champ from long ago and I was bashing on him talking about how Wlad would beat him. This is the first thread in a LONG time that I have entered and discussed an ATG from so long ago against heavyweights of today... which of course turns into that boxer vs Wlad as he is the best today.

I'm not letting you turn this into a childish game after being accused of things that I don't do. I have already clearly illustrated why I hardly talk about Classic boxing anymore, or post in the Classic Forum anymore.... when I was quite a popular poster over there back when I first joined the board in 2003. I am discussing what is in this thread, and not going down the path of "what a nuthugger widdow is".

I saw the documentary on Joe Louis right before suffering through Klitschko vs Ibragimov, in what was falsely advertised as a heavyweight championship fight.

You are just showing your true colors right now. You feel the need to knock on the Champions of today. I don't. That just shows the bias that you carry. I also don't knock on Champions from the past, I just leave them where they belong... in their own era.

Also, notice how we were having a discussion about a certain subject. Which was Joe Louis' being vulnerable to a right hand. I provided proof to back up my statements, and you responded by bashing on the current Champion. It just shows who is actually being immature in these discussions, and who actually has something worthwhile to say.

Personaly, and this is just my opinion, If you made a list of every punch and asked who were the 5 best heavyweights to throw them, Louis would make every list. He would probably rank very high on a list of every fighter who ever lived and those punches.

Fair enough Widdow, I have always regarded you as one of the more knowledgable Wlad nuthuggers, which I have told both Suge and fourty ounce, I got nothing against you, unlike Farmboxer and RUSKULL who turn to insults or complain to mods when they dont get there way.

Widdow, you continue to duck my question, I asked what ATG Heavyweight do you think Wlad would lose to? Also, you called me liar when I said you picked Wlad over both Louis and Lewis, and possibly a prime Ali a couple months back, but I could be wrong on that.

I'm personally sick of it, and Widdow is far from the worst nuthugger I seen on this board, it's the other one's that have little to no knowledge about the fighters they are trying so hard to defend, I wont name names, but most here know who I'm talking about.

If it is your steadfast opinion that cross era fantasy matchups shouldn't be made, then why have you gone through such great lengths on this thread to establish yourself as a non-nuthugger, when that has nothing to do with the goddamn topic?

Do you really think anyone cares? This thread was established to discuss Joe Louis in the modern era, and to determine how he might respond to some of the changes in the sport. It was not constructed to attack Wladimir Klitschko. Christ, the thread isn't even about Wladimir Klitschko, or " Does WiDDoW need to be torn away from Wlad's anus?" Nobody said these things......

Additionally, you are screaming at punisher for falsely accusing you of being a Wlad-nuthugger and using misinformation, when less than a weak ago you did the very same sort of thing to me by starting a thread and in the opening title referred to me as " Mr Magoo, a resident Wlad Hater ." Face it, what you did to me is far worse than anything that anyone has done to you in this thread. You went way beyond disagreeing with someone in a debate. You used public slander, and tried to lure others into sharing your frustrations.

Since that time, I have basically let it go, and no longer have any hard feelings, but I wanted to bring it up, because right now this is a classic example of the pot calling the kettle black.

What good does that do? Am I asking you to name the ATG's that you think that Wlad would beat, in an effort to show that you aren't a Wlad hater? I am staying on topic here... and trying not to let this go in 12 different directions, like every other thread. If I felt like talking about a person who I think would beat Wlad, than I would enter a thread on that topic, or make a thread myself.

Besides... this isn't a matter of me thinking that Wlad can't be beat. Everyone can be beat. We are talking about probability. Any man can be beat, and I would give Wlad a chance to beat any heavyeight in history. That doesn't mean that I think none of them can beat him as well.

I agree completely, I don't know what films these guys have been watching? Wlad barely makes my top 20?

I see that you are still holding harsh feelings about that debate that I crushed you in and that about 72% of the board agreed with me, while 28% agreed with you. I thought that I felt something still lingering there. No problems.:good
