OK so we're talking head to head as opposed to big WALD picking on little guys from the 1940's and 50's, right?

So why is it you think WALD would beat Lennox Lewis then?

I'm all ears on that one. I believe the phrase you like to use is that WALD is "Lennox Lewis +" or something?

 

i can live with that. but he still has plenty of chances to change people's opinions. i feel he has greatly improved from the fighter we saw flopping around like a fish. but those losses will always be held against him til he retires in an effort to discredit him or **** off us fanboys. :yep

 

VITLAY never beat a single decent heavyweight either, lets not forget that. It's easy to look good against ****.

 

Abolsutely fair enough my man. If he goes undefeated for the rest of his career and gets unified then he'll get his respect I'm sure BUT the signs chin-wise are not good, surely you can see why people doubt him for that?

 

Who ever said that it wasn't legit? A loss is a loss. Doesn't mean that he lost because of his chin. Is that hard to understand? I know you aren't the brightest guy on this site, but you can understand that can't you?

Understand this... I have never said that Wlad didn't lose to Ross, Sanders or Brewster. I have said MANY times that I AM GLAD that they happened to him when they did. They caused him to completely remove himelf from the old way that he was being trained and put complete control in Manny's hands. He has learned from his mistakes, they are well in his past and he is in his prime... and on top of the division right now. Before you yap about the division, your opinion on the state of the heavyweight division isn't going to matter to me. You hate who is on top of it, so of course you would downgrade it.

As for the glass chin... you can stop talking about it now because you opinion on that issue means nothing to me. To be completely honest... I have nothing against you as a person, but I have zero respect for your boxing knowledge. You basically just come on here to try and **** people off and bash on Wlad. Anyone who can pretend like they can't see Wlad's awful physical state before Lamon hit him with those hooks is completely worthless as far as a boxing conversation is concerned.

 

If you want that answer... then go search for the last thread we discussed it in. I know how you love to turn every thread into a Klitschko vs Lewis thread... but that isn't what we are discussing here.

Also, once again you seem to have had a problem reading what I said. Lewis can be ranked ahead of Wlad on an ATG list based on his accomplishments. I certainly don't have Wlad ahead of him. That doesn't mean that I think that Lewis would beat Wlad head to head. That means that I feel Lewis having finished his career has achieved more than Wlad has so far. Wlad is young, and we can wait until his career is over to discuss his ATG status or if there even is one.

 

First of all.. you are not speaking the truth because I normally ALWAYS avoid these threads because most people are completely bias and brainwashed when it comes to old timers. Don't pretend like I am always in these types of discussions because I sure as hell am not. Lennox Lewis vs Wlad is something that is always brought up and that is a different story.

I didn't throw Wlad in the mix with the ATG in this thread... the person who started the thread threw the ATG in the mix with Wlad and his current division. If you have a problem with it, take it up with the thread starter. You sure as hell don't ever see me starting threads about Wlad vs some ATG... or how Wlad would do in a different era.

I don't care that my opinion of the heavyweight division doesn't spoil your enjoyment in your man being top of the tree right now, I really don't.

When I said 'legitimate' I meant 'his chin let him down' which in my opinion, and many other peoples opinions is exactly what happened. You disagree, as do other people and that's OK too.

I don't claim to be the brightest guy on the site by the way, it's not a crime to be dumb but I look at my list of qualifications and I know I'm far from that so save the classless insults eh? Your opinion differs from mine due to us both being biased in different directions, simple as that.

Fair enough Widdow, but you always weigh in, and seem to always pick Wlad to beat the ATG's that are being mentioned, you took Wlad over Lewis, Wlad over Louis, and correct me if I'm wrong, also picked Wlad over ALI a few months back, now can you see why most consider a top Wlad nuthugger?

 

No the difference is that I am a fan of boxing, and it's current participants. You are a hater, and come on here for flame wars. You like to call me a nuthugger because I am always defending fighters. The only reason why it seems like I am defending Wlad and Oscar so much is because they are always being bashed. I defend most current fighters because I can't stand the way that most of you so called boxing fans treat our current fighters.

 

I don't like to turn every thread into a Lewis V WALD thread, you just said that you were comparing head to head as opposed to where certain fighters were in ATG status. Lewis was the king of the heavies before WALD and there were very little differences in size and strength like there were with WALD V Louis. I'm just curious as to how in one breath you can say WALD isn't close to being an ATG yet you'd pick him in a head to head match-up against his immediate predecessor who was every bit the physical match for WALD, which a 1950's Louis obviously wasn't.

There are links here by the way, Sanders wasn't even considered a challenge when Lewis had the title and neither was Byrd. One of the above beat the living **** out of WALD and the other one is still considered to be WALDS biggest win.

 

Peter was 25, a young guy in there with a top fighter, he smothered his punches when he had Wlad hurt, and made some mistakes, Wlad won a tough fight, enough said.

 

Ah right.....so you've never bashed the current P4P number 1 fighter Floyd Mayweather then?

Seeing as I hate modern fighters so much and only come on here for flame wars, find me a post where I've hated on Mayweather, or his immediate predecessor Roy Jones Jr. Take a good search through my posts, you won't find me bashing on either of them.

You're a bigger fan of boxing than me, yet you think DLH is better than Mayweather and WALD is better than Lewis. Right.

 

Tell Me why does everyone think that all of these European Heavyweights are weak fighters? I really get the impression that Americans think that all European fighters are weak. I am an American and have spent a lot of years in sometype of Fight game. It is always the same.
