    Ahhh thought you were doing a prime for prime. I think prime for prime Patterson presents a load of problems but gets caught out. I'd be cheering for Patterson though, an absolute gent and scholar of the game.

    Patterson beats this version pretty easily

    Could Patterson beat 37 year old Lewis? If no, he isn't beating 37 year old Joe, either.

    In 1950-51 Louis due to a shoulder problem had no right hand, so I think he would get stopped by Patterson, but due to his experience I can see Louis putting up a competitive fight before getting stopped in the second half of the fight.

    But if he means Louis, he is asking 'Could Patterson beat a 37 year old Joe Louis? If the answer is no then there's no way he is beating a 37 year old Joe Louis.

    No ****, Sherlock. It's like saying if you can't beat a 22 year old Mike Tyson there's no way you could beat a Mike Tyson when he was 22, only even more asinine.

    If he means if you cant beat a 37 year old Lennox, you aren't beating a 37 year old Joe Louis, I'd say a) why not? A 37 year old Lennox was more formidable than a 37 year old Joe Louis and b) I'd say what's Lennox got to do with this anyway?

    I cannot agree at all. Louis was better and more well-rounded than Liston to be sure, but did not face many opponents near as skilled as those that Liston faced: Patterson, Machen, Williams, Folley.
