Could the Louis from his own admitted best performance beat the Schmeling who gave a wake up to reality call to the disobedient pupil of Blackburn? Is he good and fit enough this time to pull of the win? or were the (supposed) 73 crushing right hands to his face a necessary event for Joe's development and growth as a boxer?
The Max Baer fight took place before Louis’s first meeting with Schmeling, meaning Joe would likely approach Schmeling in the same or similar fashion resulting in the same outcome. Not totally sure it would play out that way but it just seems to make the most sense.
