Berbick outhustles him, outphysicals him and wears him down. KO in 5.

Sad to say but yes berbick at this point to much for Joe. Berbick to physically strong at that point. Joe wouldn't go out with out a fight though. Would still be catching Trevor with jabs and right hands but berbick would be a little to much. Probably stops Joe around the tenth in a sad fight.

Louis on points. Berbick is a guy that got outpointed by 202 pound nobody, ST Gordon. And even if he was really drugged. 216 pound Snipes also outclassed him, he also couldn't solve the Truth's jab and lost a stinker. Berbick isn't going to pressure and bum rush Louis and walk him down....I don't care how much he weighs, he would foolishly try to jab with Louis and lose to the older more technically sound and intelligent fighter. Louis also still had a good left hook that if you aren't careful, could stop you.

This would have to be a Berbick we never saw before. Is this some hidden beast that's always been caged and will finally get get let loose against Joe Louis? Are you thinking of a different Berbick? Surely not this slow average fairly passive fighter catching jabs with his face? He couldn't even blow out an ill Ali.

I doubt there would be a stoppage.
The best Berbick could do is outwork Louis to win a close decision. A 37-year-old Louis was no worse than the zombie-like Pinklon Thomas who appeared to be terribly old before his time - and that's probably Berbick's best ever win.

Alternatively, Louis wins a close decision.

I think Louis still had enough in the tank to win a decision.
