    Louis was just being modest, I’ve heard Rocky say that he wouldn't have been able to beat Louis in Joe's prime. It a mutual respect for each other.

    I think he was being modest . They ended up being pretty decent friends ... you never know but I like Louis by mid round stopage ...

    He's also completely right about everybody wanting to see that hypothetical prime vs prime fight happen.

    I think Louis tastes canvas vs Marciano - more of a flash KD than anything - after building an early lead then just as the Rock is starting to turn the tide he takes a big left hook, gets up, survives for about 4 more rds on sheer heart & determintion but ultimately crumbles after a pin point 5 punch combo, Rocky gets up & is stopped on hs feet as the ref sees enough in rd 13.

    Just my take on how I think things woud go down in their primes.
