In the never ending debate regarding smaller heavyweight s against more modern fighters if Joe Louis were to meet lennox Lewis, what would Joe s best tactics be in regards to beating him. With plenty of time to prep and fighting at his in prime weight how does he go about this. For those that favour Lewis how do u see him beating Joe. How easy or hard would this fight be for both men?? No disrespect to either man, just curious as to how this may play out.
Get in the ring, take one or two shots and fall flat on the back. That's basically what tactics Joe Louis would use agaisnt Lennox Lewis.
Louis was pretty consistent, Lewis less so. If he could catch Lewis on an off night, I can totally see him busting Lennox up with the jab and power punching. But assuming Lewis comes in at his best and with a chip on his shoulder, it would probably be a rough night for Joe.

Watch his bout with Max Baer. Louis would side step and counter punch until Lewis runs into a shot that hurts him. Then Joe would go in for the kill.
Lewis was a much, much, much better boxer than Max Baer. Don't see how the Baer fight has much bearing on this matchup.
