    I argued on another forum that Louis may have had his true peak in '42, when he beat another giant, Buddy Baer again. http://www.ajdugger.com/forum.html#nabble-td3937378i60

    By that time he had much more experience than when so motivated against Schmelling for the rematch.

    He fought in those few years excellent pressure fighters, sluggers & swarmers.

    And was still young & at his physical peak.

    And I like him a few lbs/ heavier here.

    Anyone else agree that in head to head match ups they would use '42 Louis?

    He must have learned so much more & was still so sharp.
