I've heard that story as well. But the guy came in under 200 pounds just a year earlier. I know he was never sub 200 pounds again, but in his next fight he only weighed 2 or 3 pounds more? It's not like Foreman being drained by Saddler to come down from his more natural 230s weight and dry out around 217lbs.

Do you think Pacquiao would have trouble getting back to lightweight considering his current frame and recent fights? I'd imagine it's very taxing.

Louis could be weighing 208 and still drained. It depends how much water he has in him and how hard he's trained in the previous 10 days, not upon his weight.

No idea if he was or not though.

I always thought he looked kinda flat in this fight from the pics and video.

You're right though, no way to know for sure.

Yeah, he could, but it would be a lot more taxing than it was for Louis to get under 200 pounds when he's normally a fighter weighing around the 200 pound limit. All that means is Louis is training hard and just losing a little bit of water weight to get below 200 pounds. That's just not drained. And I'll correct myself by stating Foreman wasn't drained but I think he dried himself up more than Louis did. I just don't think it's proper throwing around words like drained so loosely. Just in the same way we can't just throw out "shot, exposed, etc." It devalues it.

Yeah, if Louis sat on the couch and didn't train hard and then killed himself in the last 10 days and weighed 208 he could be drained. I'm not assuming that, we're talking about an absolute professional. In which case, weight would then matter and be the ultimate real indicator or gauge. Unless he has an IV stuck in his arm like Oscar De La Hoya.

Over-trained and drained are not the same thing.

You think Ali would get knocked out 100 times?

Yeah, but Louis did used to dry out. They used to believe in it in those days - god knows why.

Louis is an ATG without question,

he obviously falls into the seriously misleading achievement based list of greats...

BUT where it really counts Head to Head, Peak for Peak and who's better than who, Loius is arguably the best HW that ever lived, defo a top 10 and one of the Greatest fighters in history,

    without question!!!

H2H, against the other ATG HWs, Louis fares worse than prime Bowe.

    Louis actually fares badly.

He would lose to Ali, Holyfield, Foreman, Frazier, Liston, Tyson, probably Marciano.

I think he would beat Lewis, Johnson and Dempsey, but then again you never know.

How can you say this? Bert Sugar rates Louis #1 at HW. Isn't he right about the HW's, you must have posted up the fact that he ranked Holyfield above Lewis 15 times!

Louis would dismantle Foreman and Liston. Big stationary targets, can't think of any other kind of fighter that Louis proved to be more devastating against.
