Joe Luis is somewhere in between Lennox Louis and Joe Lewis.

When he knocks people out it's scary even though you know some of these people are already dead and gone. It's like he just taps their nervous systems out.

Rated exactly where he should be. At the top 2 or 3 of every heavyweight atg list.

In boxing, he's the epitomy of the word 'champion' ....no other fighter was ever more dominant.

He wouldnt reach one of the Klitschko a single time. But they would reach him with his "i defend my balls" defensive with quite ease. Get real Louis was the king in the 30ies but not nowadays.

Joe Louis IMO would translate to any era, and in almost every era would still dominate. In the eras that he wouldn't dominate, he'd still be top dog, but he'd struggle with some key guys. This particular era however, he would dominate.

One thing I think people commonly overlook is that IF Joe was in this era, he would have the so called advantages that today's athletes have as well. Wlads mandible would be shattered. Vitali would be a tough match but I think Joe's just too fast and accurate for him.

Only guys I see Joe Louis loosing to is Ali, Lewis, Holmes. But even then he might get a W.

I think Lewis and Holmes both win at least once in a 3 fight series. I also think Louis would be the first guy ever to KO Vitali.
