You could schedule it for 1 round or 50 rounds, and it would have the same result. Louis KO1 over Stiverne. Stiverne not even in the same universe skill wise or quickness wise as Joe Louis. It would be target practice for Louis. It would be explosive and over quickly.
So, Galento decks Louis and lasts 4 with some of the worst technique and physical tools ever provided a heavyweight but Stiverne is out in one?
This thread is a joke! Louis is on a different planet and an ATG. Stiverne is a fringe contender in any other era.
Louis might get dropped, but if Louis doesn't stop Stiverne early, he picks him apart and knock him out. Too much technique and power for Stiverne too handle. Louis KO 7, agree.
Is he any worse than Jack Roper Johnny Paycheck Al McCoy Natie Nann Harry Thomas Red Burman Gus Dorazio Tony Musto ????????????:think
Well said. If Louis came out aggressive enough (Schmelling II) he could definitely stop Stiverne in the first round
Stiverne has had 24 fights. Can we at least watch how his career plays out before making fantastical proclamations about how a 6-3, 240 pound, 80" reach fighter would get sparked in one? He could be a Leon Spinks. He could be a Lennox Lewis. We are measuring an incomplete work against a work that has basked in the rosy-hued glow of nostalgia.
It is unfair to judge Stiverne so early in his career. Chances are he is not the next Joe Louis, but I feel with his amateur pedigree and size and durability that he would probably last until the mid rounds against Joe. If I had to speculate I would say Joe TKO around 7. But it's all far too early to make any reasonable assumption on this match up.
