do we rally need this insulting each other on the classic forum? I used to be like this but i changed. I really don't see why we need these kind of posts in the classic section
Why don't you ask Manassa that very question dmt? He's the one who chimed in and told us both that we didn't know what we were talking about. After having a few debates with this poster, its become clear to me that he's an arrogant ***** who would do well to find some other hobby than insulting anonymous posters on a chat forum.
By the way, we know you're not gay. We know you're a tough man and love to have sex with remarkably curvy women. You don't need to make that statement in your avatar, however.
That big butt makes that girl more money in exhibitions than James Toney has made in his whole career.
Anyway this is my opinion on the topic Conn did not give Louis alot of trouble the second time around. I have not seen the second fight but from what i read in Gilbert ODD's book was Louis won without that much trouble and Conn was perhaps even more eroded then Louis was. In their first fight, Louis was 27 and in his prime. Some will tell you that Louis;s peak was 1942, others say it was1938. Regardless he was in his prime Conn simply had the style to trouble Louis. Him being 170 lb helped him vs Louis if anything. But the myth that "Conn was easily winning" in the first fight is just that- a myth. Louis landed some pretty hard shots that shook Billy but his heart and chin helped him survive. However he was slowing down, and made the mistake of trying to ko Louis which ultimately cost him the fight. Conn was slightly ahead at the scorecards/ If i am not mistaken, the odds for Louis-Conn were the closest of anyone Louis had fought since the second Schemling rematch which shows how highly regarded Conn was.
