Joe Louis vs. Bob Fitzsimmons

Very good post ^^ ANd i agree.. but thats why i think its crazy to say how a fight would turn out between a turn of the century fighter and post 30s fighter... IF you wanna determine who was greater for their time, then you should go by resumes.

Jack Johnson was ahead of his time and Jack Dempsey was kind of new age too .. I think Gene Tunney was the first hw champ though that really showed good technique and a more modern boxing style.

 

I can't see how Louis could lose. I favor the monster-puncher Fitzsimmons over many a great fighter, but not against the Brown Bomber at HW.

 

I think Louis is wrong for Fitz, he might get staggered momentarily, but I see a quick fnish here, for the Bomber.
